Re: Worth Upgrading From 1.3b28?

Actually, you metion something I had forgotten about which is vital to my situation: I have gazillions of v1.3b28 campaign files which absolutely would need to be valid in whichever versoion I upgrade to, if I do. There is no way I'm reproducing the hours of work I have put into creating them, even...

Re: Worth Upgrading From 1.3b28?

Someone else will hopefully correct any misunderstandings I'm about to promulgate, but here goes: My impression is that the biggest developments in MapTool in recent builds is the macro scripting functions, which can be used to track stats like HP, etc. That might be a good reason, but could require...

[1.3b47] Bar Visibility settings buggy

I don't know if this has been fixed since 1.3b47, but I can't set a bar to be visible by "GM" and "Owner" only. If I do so, after saving the changes & re-opening the campaign properties reveals that only "GM" is left selected. Setting the bar visibility to "Own...

Re: [1.3b49] parsing changes since b47?

I'm happy to know the bugs were actually a result of my macro programming, and not new MapTool bugs. Well, maybe not really "happy" , but satisfied and confident in MapTool's performance. Given how close 1.3 seems to be to stable, I think I will just wait until it is stabilized before upda...

Re: [1.3b49] parsing changes since b47?

Good eye! I totally missed that in my frustrated, tired daze.
The funny thing is, it still runs without an error in 1.3b47. So, is this a case of fixing bugs in the parser to run "as desired", which reveals more bugs in macro code?

Thanks

Re: [1.3b49] parsing changes since b47?

Unfortunately, they are rather long. However, I have pared down the first macro mentioned in the original post: One macro skips over all user input, then outputs normally at the end: it runs as expected if I remove a section of code. That would be this: <!-- Input values (Final) from Statblock, and ...

Re: StrProp always read as a String

I've run into similar issues. If I recall correctly, passing the string property value to a variable, which is then used in the addition, avoids the "concatenating numbers" problem. So, in your case: [h: totalDV = 0] [h: i = 0] [h, for(i, 0, countStrProp(DodgeDV)-1, 1, ""), code:...

[1.3b49] macro parsing changes since b47?

I built up a rather large campaign file with many macros after getting all excited by the rapidly expanding possibilities. Anyway, I just loaded this campaign into b49 and the whole thing is now ridden with bugs to the point of being unuseable. All the macros work as expected in b47, but not b49 (I ...

Re: Macro Code Limit

Would it help to remove sections to put into an external macro and call it within each each loop (i.e. [Macro(): ]), or would you run into the same problem? As Rumble said, moving the guts of the loops into their own Lib:token macros, and calling them with [Macro():] should take care of it. Each ma...

Re: Macro Code Limit

There are limits on Macros though it can be hard to pin point. Some macros are very long and have no troubles while others 1/2 their size won't run. One thing to look out for is if you use [CODE:] blocks to have several commands inside an [if():] or [c():] block they can run into this limit. There ...

Re: Adding topology to token - partial success

Now question for developer and community, do you prefer: 1) a checkbox on the token that state if it can cast a topology (default to no and checkable); all token so that also large creature can block sight. 2) only object can cast topology? [do we need che checkbox anyway?] more precisely how do we...

Re: Moving area of effet, threatened area = 1.2b32 light

Alternatively, take the AoE template tools and make the drawn AoEs moveable rather than static. I would so love this feature. I think having the old lighting system in place and calling it something other than lighting is a great idea. I agree 1.3 has loads of great automation and VBL and other jui...

Re: Macro Code Limit

1) that's not stack size (or probably not anyways). -Xmx (allocated memory) is a different command line argument from -Xss (stack size). Xmx being measured in gigs makes sense. Xss at 1024M makes my mind blow. Right. Sorry. Amateur programmer here I was referring to the allocated memory argument in...

Re: Macro Code Limit

I did find one limit to macro length, which is more of a bug: If the macro contains more than 8192 characters (2^13), it causes bugs when dragging a macro button to the global macro panel (at least, in b47, unless this has been fixed in b48). This was discovered in MapTool 1.3b47, running on Mac OS ...
