Yes, Ubuntu does a ton of stuff to make Linux easy. That is why I like it so much. Even if it is not official, the community has stepped up to do as you say and write scripts or documentation to help installs easier. The new KDE is gorgeous. I tried it a while ago, but it was too buggy for me, so I ...

I have not experienced dependency hell since I left rpm based distro's (no offense fz1rider).

I have also hosted a game using b38 on Ubuntu with no problems. But I am using 32 bit though...

I hope you get your issue resolved fz1rider, wish that I knew more so that I could lend a hand...

That is true... Soon it will be a non-issue. I don't think there was anything available this time that I would have wanted more than the boots I have. I am surprised that that 5th level stuff is legit considering the item limit.

But I don't want to belabor the point, because it is a non-issue...

The stories are interesting and engaging. The ones that I have been in have two skill challenges and at least two encounters. I have played Core 1-1 and Wate 1-1. Both have very interesting stories. The skill challenges in Wate 1-1 was really fun as was the encounters. I would have to say Wate 1-1 i...

Goo is essential. Imagine Ghostbusters without goo! No stay puff, no slime, the whole movie would have been totally unrealistic and unbelievable without goo. Goo is also an important part of many kids shows. What would you dump on the guests if not for goo? Without goo our babies would lose half the...

Korvosa

Has anyone done a map of Korvosa from the Pathfinder adventures?

I would love to play this one in MapTools...

WoTC to Reorganize

WoTC Press

Not really all that surprising considering D&DI is not out and the recent Gleemax announcement.

Global and Table

I noticed in a video tutorial that there are two windows that I don't see discussed much. They are the Global window and the table window.

What are these windows used for typically? Has anyone expanded on the original uses for the these windows and made something nifty?

Forum Software Quirks

Ok... I like to keep up with as much as possible on the forums, so I rely heavily on the forum correctly telling me what is new and unread. This isn't working as I hoped. Messages and new posts frequently appear as read when they are not. How are others coping with this quirk? Are there ways to mark...

WoTC to revise GSL and SRD

I am surprised that no-one has posted about this yet. I think this is huge... http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/4news/20080811 What market pressures could have made them make this decision? They appear to be selling their products like gang busters. Why would they care if no third party publi...

I can't stand e-books. I will take print any day. However, I can certainly see how content creators would rather go digital for magazines. On the subject of their pricing, I think that D&DI is a fleece job. The monthly fee's will only be the beginning of the charges. They will require you to pur...
