Re: 1.4 Build 01

Please let me know if I missed anything. Could I ask if there's any progress on getting the sub projects into Git? I am particularly keen on getting my hands on the diceLib You could ask but it might end in tears -- most probably mine. I tell you what getting dice lib on github is the next thing I ...

Pfft way to late for that my friend. I am afraid you would need a time machine, but in case you do happen to have one can I borrow it, unless its one of those only travels forward in time in real time time machines...

Re: [FREQ] Math Functions

I'm trying (and failing) to think of a scenario in MapTool when I would actually need radians. Because Radians are rad man! Seriously though, if you want to perform any type of math you will need to do so in radians so why force people to convert back and forth. I don't know what people want to do ...

Re: 1.4 Build 01

Another new test build. (I really got to get these out quicker). m Changes: ⋅  Add getNotes/setNotes/getGMNotes/setGMNotes macro functions (Jagged) ⋅  Improve Token random suffix logic (d4rkAlf) ⋅  Refactor and clean up TokePropertyFunction class (d4rkAlf) ⋅  ...

Re: FEATURE: Isometric Map - BETA

You are not helping Sure we are! You want an example of not helping? I still remember a long (long, long, long, long) time ago in a math lecture at Uni where we the lecturer started with with "today we will be learning about non Euclidean geometries, first hyperbolic geometry". He then pr...

Re: FEATURE: Isometric Map - BETA

you mean that the 'light on self square' in the isometric view needs to be rotated 45 degrees (and also downscaled by x/sqrt(2x^2) ), it has been flattened (but again wrong side of the triangle), and not rotated. Yes but its easier just to create it as a grid "square" since it should (hop...

Re: Maptool WIKI Error

ive already contacted Craig and he already fixed it! May I please asked on how this was fixed? Its stretching my memory a bit -- well a lot. There was a forced upgrade of the media wiki version we are running done by the hosting site, this caused by a plugin we had (I believe it was ConfirmEdit). U...

Re: FEATURE: Isometric Map - BETA

I think this is better. Helps when you are comparing the correct facing Whizard1.jpg This is really great. One thing though is it appears that while you have done the projection of the cone correctly the grid cell that the token is in is not yet quite right. The parts of the area that do not open t...

Re: Merging Nerps to 1.4

The Nerps zip link in your sig isn't working. Did I miss something obvious on getting the fork? (note: no coffee yet) Hmm, need to look into that....but... Sorry, I should have been more clear. This should be in the official MT 1.4 builds by Craig as the code was in my rplib.jar. If Craig is busy, ...

Hmm it was the "fix" for the more then 7 stylesheets java 8 bug for the previous build, which introduced a nasty bug, I have corrected it and will produce another build tonight (my time).

Re: FEATURE: New build/deploy process

In one way I prefer the JavaFX packager (when we get there) as it allows us to do all platforms with included JRE, where as other methods don't. On the other hand its a pain in the something I can't write on this board because it will be censored because it means you have to build once on each platf...

Re: FEATURE: MapTool Database

Got it on the ORM but thought I'd check. OK. So now for technology. Do we use the built-in java (Derby) DB as a starting point. If we use JDBC does it matter what the initial technology is as long as it is (mostly) ANSI SQL compliant? Yeah if you use JDBC it doesn't really matter. Sure you can stil...

Re: FEATURE: triggerables

Yep, it's a can of worms alright. I think this one may be able to be coded in steps though. If we can get the drawing down for trigger and the eventHook, we can go from there and start building on it? Question, do we just fire an event "triggerDetected(String triggerName, list Tokens, Path loc...

Re: FEATURE: MapTool Database

Just a few trollish thoughts about an implementation path for MapTool DB. My goal is to keep the time between code releases small while still giving the users new, needed functionality. 0th step: pick a technology and code implementation strategy 1st step: tables use database 2nd step: framework ca...
