Re: Character Tool Instructions?

That is something I need to add to the game settings file editor. The problem with putting it into CT is that it is different for every game and every framework for that game. So if you played multiple games you would need to have multiple sets of them.

Re: Character Tool Instructions?

There is a properties file that you can create that maps MT property names to scripts that are run against the CT/IT properties. The file is stored in the property directory and is called mtPropertyMap.properties. It's contents looks like this: MTPropertyName=ct.property.name MTPropertyName2=JavaScr...

Here is your file fixed, with all the bugs taken out and the two property sets combined.

Re: Adopters: Game Settings File

You can only have one set of properties in the properties XML. It has to look just like the one that you copied. I know that you wanted two different sets, but you can't do it that way. Both sets of properties go together in the properties.XML. Also, on line 18 you had a <description> tag without th...

Re: Adopters: Game Settings File

Is there a way to have more than one supertype of character sheet at once? I've got a group trying to run a game using a Pokemon d20 system, and I would like to be able to have a separate sheet for Trainers and the 'Mons. I've currently put together a game setting file, with mostly simple programmi...

Re: Adopters: Game Settings File

I've made my own version of a setting file for a particular RPG system, having taken the default.rpgame and putting in the properties I wanted. I've started simple so as to develop it in stages, but the CharTool is having none of it; it refuses to load my rpgame file in the game selector. Any idea ...

Re: Separate Combatant Types

You can't have two different sets of properties, the code only supports one. But, since you build the forms you get to choose which data is seen.

If you're using the built in property editor, there isn't away to hide any specific set of properties.

Re: Updates to Game Settings File Editor

I know we have already discussed the whole "to many tabs thing", but what I would like to see(assuming you have not already done this) is to have the "default" set up have no specific mention of CT/IT and have the user enter all the common data. Then choose the tool specific are...

Re: Updates to Game Settings File Editor

Note to reviewers: I'm especially interested in making this editor easier to use. There is just so much stuff in the game settings file that looking at all of it at once is a little overwhelming. If you have any suggestions, post them here.

Re: Nat 20's in initiative

@mfrizzell That would only work on Map Tool's initiative support, not on Initiative Tool.

Initiative tool has a game settings file that needs to be modified, then the script updated to handle that special case.

Which tool are you using?

WotC VT is gonna die.

I got this concerning the VT beta: Monday, July 09, 2012 I wanted to inform you all about an important decision that Wizards has made regarding the D&D Virtual Table and Virtual Table Beta. While we appreciate the enthusiasm and participation in the Beta phase, we were unable to generate enough ...
