Re: Mapping Images Git Repo - Opinions?

Roger. I just deleted the repo. Well this is going to be messier than I thought. As a side note, does anyone know what sort of license is intended on RPGMapShare when they put it for "commercial" and/or "personal only?" It's fairly vague and so I'm not sure if redistribution is o...

I think it would be easier for people if we just used a web server so they wouldn't need to install anything. Plus, I wouldn't be restricted by size. I appreciate the offer though.

Re: Mapping Images Git Repo - Opinions?

Uploading though... IRC my lib is about 6.5 Gb so I guess the other way round is better. I meant that I would upload this collection, not that users would have to upload theirs. So the program/script would just: 1. Download the latest index of files available 2. Compare their hashes against those y...

Re: Mapping Images Git Repo - Opinions?

For more veteran users its less useful as like me I already have quite a big library which partially overlaps with yours making it well... hard to combine. I understand completely. The only other solution I can think of which would alleviate that problem would basically involve uploading all the im...

Mapping Images Git Repo - Opinions?

I've been thinking about this for a while now and want to get opinions on this. I've created a git repo with the standard mapping torrent images and a few I made (though I did re-organize it to my taste). I think the README explains everything pretty well, so go read that first: https://github.com/j...

Re: Map: Moisture Trap Compound

I would highly suggest you(and everyone else) get into the habit of using layer masks. They do take a bit more work up front, but give you FAR more flexibility in the long run(unless you working on a throw away thing that you KNOW you will never edit). Also, have you considered using GIMP 2.8(and i...

Re: Map: Office Waiting Room

First, thanks for taking the time to help me out and edit the map! Your changes look great. I tried to duplicate your process in GIMP with so-so results: - Messed with the contrast of the floor and changed the background color to make it darker. I was originally worried about it over powering everyt...

Re: Map: Chasm and Ocean Overlook (Gridless)

The shadows around lights seem weird with pole shadow going up. Instead of shadow, perhaps illuminate the ground more around lights. After looking at it again, I heartily agree. I changed the original and updated my site. I chose to not illuminate the ground since I read somewhere on the forums peo...

Alternative Trailblazer Rules

Hello, First off thanks for the framework, it's made my sessions more enjoyable and faster while making the game more approachable for newbies (as has MapTool in general). Anyways, I just modified my 3.5 campaign to use the classes, skills, and magic system from Trailblazer (and a few other tweaks)....

Re: Standard Decision Tree Menu API

Ok, I can appreciate that. So when JavaScript is supported on down the road, will we be able to import standard JavaScript libraries like the one above or jQuery + jQuery UI to manipulate that HTML (among other things)? I haven't used the HTML frames your talking about, but that seems like it would ...

Standard Decision Tree Menu API

Background: I was thinking that every game (at least RPGs) has a *mostly* defined set of actions for every turn (especially combat). So it would be very nice if there was a way in 1.4 or on down the line for easily creating a decision tree menu. This would make it easier for all of those wonderful f...
