Re: Feature Request Alternative

I wonder how hard it would be to pull off on our existing BB software.

That's a good idea. That way we can just give each registered user their votes and they don't have to sign up for yet another site...

Sounds like you use the Agile methodology...

Yep. Worse is better ya know.. :D

Feature Request Alternative

I'm not sure what was ever decided for the "wall of features" thread below, but I like this basic setup which you have all probably seen: m Basically a user gets 10 votes and can vote on an existing request or create a new one. There wouldn't be money involved like the previous thread talk...

Re: Bean Scripting Framework in MapTool

Hmm, I'm not familiar with LiveConnect or Pack200 (though I did do the obligatory Google search). Looking through the source, it looks like you use Rhino for the embedded JavaScript which in turn uses BSF's API for JAVA scripting language support. Again, I'm not a Java Dev, so I could be wrong here....

Bean Scripting Framework in MapTool

So I'm new to MT, but I'm looking at making some minor tweaks for my own use and noticed you have the BSF included in your build notes. I pulled down the source from SF and see the .jar but I'm not seeing exactly where you are using it. Is it used in MapTool at this point? Also, I noticed you're usi...

Re: [D&D3.5 + Pathfinder] MT1.3b63 Campaign Macros r05

One observation, you are using a 10MB stack size (-Xss10M) which is friggin MASSIVE. I run with a 2MB stack size. At most a 3MB size should handle any of the other utilities folks are writing. So I recommend dropping your stack to 3MB (or even 2MB). 1. I made it that big while trying to debug my pr...

Re: Character Builder in linux

Right, if you got your OS with a pre-built machine your hands are tied there. I have always built my own however and bought the OS separately.

Still, I agree that OSS is the best route. However I'm unaware of a complete OSS .NET solution.

Re: Character Builder in linux

I use Xubuntu, but haven't used Character Builder. I do however use lots of Windows only tools, so I might be able to help. I would suggest installing VirtualBox: m That will enable you to run a VM of Windows on top of Linux which will thus run that code natively without Wine. If you install the gue...

Re: [D&D3.5 + Pathfinder] MT1.3b63 Campaign Macros r05

Hello, first off thanks for the awesome Framework. My setup: MapTool 1.3.b66 MT 1.3.63.r05 Java 1.6 r20 Command on Windows: javaw -Xmx1024M -Xss10M -jar maptool-*.jar run [Note I also tried it on Xubuntu [Linux 64-bit] and the results were the same] When I try to import the Macros file I get the fol...
