Re: 2010 Survey: Which D&D do you play?
Just to explain, I clicked "haven't played in over a year" and D&D4. Which may seem odd but I've only just started. I pretty much play exclusively Hero System (and supers) but my son has been getting into role playing (largely because of maptools actually) and so he's being introduced ...

Re: MapTool and Super Heroes
I notice with interest that the Ordinance Survey here in the UK are are in alpha test for a product called OS VectorMap District. Imagine if you could get vector info for all roads and buildings in the UK, how cool would that be? http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/opendata/viewer/

Re: How to get RPTools source via Eclipse and subversion
Just thought I'd mention that I worked through MetaGamer's steps at the weekend on a new Windows 7 box and Helios.
All went swimmingly ta!

Re: RPTools Forums Issue
While we are on the subject of the Forum layout Any chance we could get the Forum User joined date moved over from the right so that its next to the user icon? The reason I ask is because it makes it difficult to scan a thread and read the dates posts were made. This might not be so important for yo...

Re: MapTool and Super Heroes
That is really interesting Lindharin. I have tried copying googlemaps before but had trouble getting a result I was happy with, I shall definitely try again.
I would be interested to know what sort of resolutions you are using?

Re: MapTool and Super Heroes
Thanks for the feedback one and all.
@Scubba: I also have a not-so-secret love of rolling huge handfuls of dice
Hmmm, maybe Azhrei should consider adding a nice dice-roll sound effect whenever 10 or more d6 are rolled in the chat channel

MapTool and Super Heroes
I am all about the Super Heroes I notice a few of you use the Hero System but I was wondering how many of you use MapTool for Supers? As a Ref the main difficulty with supers and running campaigns is they tend to move large distances very quickly (often splitting the partly), their whole world is fr...

I showed him how to use the vision blocking tool and how to set status bars but he did some basic macros for damage himself.

My Son's Mad About MapTool
MapTool is child's play For a long time now my son Jack (10) has enjoyed drawing strange soldiers and monsters having battles and as he's become older those drawings have become ever more complex. Then he started inventing rules, giving out stats and abilities based upon the drawings. Obviously gami...

Does anyone use Map Tool like a white board?
Does anyone use Map Tool like a white board? If so I'd love to hear your experiences. Most of our games (which are modern world super heroes) have much zipping about to random places and frequently feature events at places there is no way you could expect the Ref to predict. So typically our ref dra...
