Re: MapTool Development/Release Cycle & Current Version?

Jamz's fork is his own branch which he uses for his own developments. All the forks significant developments get submitted back to the main branch.

The delay on releasing 1.4.1.9 is due to issues with the deployment pipeline rather than anything else.

Re: Gonna try lending a hand

I would recommend forking off the main dev branch.

Its fairly easy for Jamz to pull stuff off the main branch into his fork, but if you branch off his fork you are kind of doubling the work required to get you changes released to a wider audience.

Welcome, or welcome back :)

If you want to grab an issue to work on its a good idea to log it on GitHub or reply there if it already exists.

Re: Ability to reset duplicate numbering order

4. Place another "Dragon" token on the board. Despite the fact that "Dragon 3" name is available, MapTool will name this token "Dragon 4", leaving out the three forever. Is that really a problem? If it annoys you can't you just rename the last copy to 3? Seems like less work than adjusting somethin...

Re: Initiative only visible to the person who rolled it

I have not seen anything like that with the standard build, but I seem to remember Jamz saying something about having an additional server setting related to sync'ing Initiative, but I might be wrong.

Probably worth PM'ing Jamz

Re: getName(), token name or id unknown

The issue is with the script parser rather than java. Coincidentally I created a "play" version that did what's suggested above and placed a "T" at the start of the GUID and that seemed to work fine. I also created a "play" version that just checked the GUID and if it did not contain any letters cre...

Re: Macro: Get selected tokens from Draw Explorer?

Sorry, yes, I meant Map Explorer. And by "select" I mean have the tokens highlighted and returned by the "getSelected()" method. There are other ways to select tokens. Most of the more complex frameworks either have popups that list tokens or windows that show the tokens you have selected. I am not...

Re: Bug with VBL for tokens when rotating

I think there "might" be issues with the vbl mapping when the image has been flipped; which is something you often want to do with doors.

So probably worth checking that.

Re: [1.4.1.x] Simplified Interaction Mode for PCs

I would not say such a thing has definitely been ruled out but certainly would not be touched until after the application has been migrated to Javafx.

As a GM I would like the ability to turn player menu options on or off. But that won't happen with the current UI

I posted a fix for this back in Feb, so should be there for 1.4.1.9 whenever that gets released.

also, if you want to work on macros that you can share with other people, I would recommend prefixing everything with a standard name.

I prefix most of my stuff with my initials "dsr_"

There is a plan to be able to save campaigns in an open directory format.
Craig is the one to talk to about that.

Re: Windows Broke DeviantNull 4e Framework

Jagged, from our past dealings I know you aren't happy with my alleged anti-Rumble crusade. No I am not. Plug your framework as much as you like. Do not slag off other peoples framework. This should not have to be said in a public forum, but seemingly it must. If you click on the Hero token and go ...

Re: Windows Broke DeviantNull 4e Framework

Me neither. Not in Maptool anyway.

I did coincidentally encounter the problem at work (in one of our most reliable old legacy apps) a couple of weeks before someone reported it on the forums.

Which was handy :)
