Re: Token Database for Rumble's Framework v5

The forum software only seems to allow you to attach 8 files per post. Here's the 8 I've created in my meanderings:

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

I was fiddling around a moment ago and noticed that EYNT effects don't seem to end properly when the target doesn't have an initiative value. (Ie. If I use goblin 1 as an initiative holder for goblins 1-5 (and goblins 2-5 are not in the initiative list) then an EYNT effect applied to goblin 3 will n...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Also when parsing monsters it adds random values to the misc modifier for skills. If they could all be 0 by default and change only if it is listed that would be great (I can manually update this prob too). Is this the bug that I reported earlier, where it is adding the ability modifier twice (ie. ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Whoa, hold on then. Colmarr, are you working from a copy older than version 5.1.2? Because when I look at my template for 5.1.2, that fix to handleStates is already present (it's been there since 5.1.0). Hmm, guess I've got some checking to do tonight... I could have sworn I downloaded it from the ...

[Rumble v5.1.2] BUG: Skill bonuses

Importing from the compendium in 5.1.2* seems to incorrectly parse skill bonuses, applying the compendium figures twice. Eg. A level 4 monster who is not trained in Athletics and whose entry says 'Strength 18(+6)' is parsed as having a strength bonus of +6 and a misc. bonus of +6, for a total Athlet...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Rumble, could you please post the corrections; even as a separate macro file is fine. Our players use End Turn exclusively. I shouldn't be grumpy, because I'm not Rumble, but I linked to the fix in the post where I first raised the issue. It's actually a really easy fix. So easy that you can do it ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

On the parsing thing: first, you have to make sure all of the text is fully left-aligned. The compendium often puts spaces in front of powers, which have to be deleted. You know, I must have read that ten times in the readme, and I thought I was looking for those empty spaces, but lo and behold upo...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Correct. Using the 'End Turn' macro in the selection window seems to prematurely end EoYNT effects that the token has applied (ie. effects end this turn that should end next turn). The same error doesn't occur when you use the "Next initiative" macro in the campaign window. In that sense t...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

All told, it's easier to always start your new campaign with the default campaign file from the framework. Then, you just add your maps and pull in saved tokens, etc. That's my plan but I know that sooner or later I'll save over it so I'd like to have a backup plan. Thanks! Another question then. I...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Ah - the campaign macros won't copy like that. You have to export the full macro group, instead (campaign macros are not tied to any tokens). Additionally, if you're creating a campaign, don't forget to export all of the Campaign Properties and import them into your new campaign. Forgive my densene...

Re: [Rumble 5.1.2] Combat Challenge ending too soon

Before listenting to what I say, run these tests. 1. Apply combat challenge. Have the fighter player click "End turn" in the selection window. Does the combat challenge icon disappear from the target? 2. Apply combat challenge. DON'T click "End turn". Instead have the DM click &q...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

You can try the code fix, but I suspect it's already there. It is likely the End Turn macro and not the actual timing mechanism, if it works okay with "Next Initiative." For what it's worth, the fix suggested in the thread I linked to worked. After editing the handleStates macro on the ca...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Thanks for the replies to the earlier questions Rumble, but can I draw your attention back to this one? Another quick one then: An effect applied to a target "until the end of your next turn" seems to end when the player clicks 'End turn' (ie the end of their current turn, not the end of t...
