Re: Issue; The Table system

Yes, quite unfortunate. In the meantime, have you tried asking the GM hosting the game to start MT without connected clients and run your animation macro? without connected clients? wouldn't that mean he'd have to load the tables himself? The thing is, it works for the person who has them so I dont...

Re: Issue; The Table system

my understanding was that uploading the tables to the MT campaign I was connecting to as a GM and then player, hosted by another, would dump said table in everyones cache like a token, what you seem to be saying is otherwise, so how should I go about distributing the tables? Tables are server centr...

Re: Issue; The Table system

FullBleed mentioned on another thread that, as opposed to how MT normally disseminates image assets, table data is sent upon request. Honestly, I haven't gone over that part of the code in detail since it's something I marked for another time. There could be a couple of scenarios as to how this goe...

Re: Issue; The Table system

Checked out fine on my end as well. Try getting everyone on a campaign using the test file you attached here and confirm if they all have a copy of the tables containing the image information, and if they do, if the animation works. This'll help figure things out. I thought this might be the issue,...

Re: Issue; The Table system

Well I've used and tested that code myself so no need to check. I know it works. Hence it must be something else you did. Can you link the campaign file here I think its far more likely it's that I didn't do something rather than did something. Either way theres not much point in posting the campai...

Re: Issue; The Table system

Ah right. Crosses means that the id is not there so theres a bug in your code. Can you post it here? I fully admit I am not a brilliant coder by any means, and well, the work I'm using isn't even mine. I have a vague understanding of what an ID is though, I guess I'll just post the contents from th...

Re: Issue; The Table system

they where ran more than once. quite often infact, as I had a whole half hour of testing them. Are you thinking of the question marks? because these where definately X's.

Issue; The Table system

I'm using some animated tables for animation, and the player side experianced nothing but a bunch of X's, it's someone elses server. but i uploaded the table onto the server, the images still work for me as a player or GM. has anyone experianced this?

Re: [1.3b86/87] Image Token functionality - Portraits / Hand

I'm confused, the import function? if players needed it, why not just have the dm import the table? it would take seconds, if the dm is constantly making new maps, then create a bank map with the player's resources preloded so the dm can simply add it? it shouldn't really be that hard. it would be b...

I think I understand what you're getting at. MT doesn't use object orientated code does it? I question the wisdom of doing that with such a huge project, hopefully 2.0 will do so and be less hard to change.

Re: Multiple 'Layers'

Note that MT's moved to "infinite" sized maps for quite some time, so controls need to be put in to manage the size of new layers (or will every new layer have infinite expanse as well?). While not impossible, it's evidently a lot of work to straighten things out in order to allow for mul...

Re: State Duration Fields.

i have this system embedded in my framework and i know that there are other FW applying the same principle. The issue with this is that you cannot make this system agnostic. Cause *when* would the state time counter decrease by one step? Typically, you would decrease it on your initiative. this mig...

Re: Multiple 'Layers'

Yeah, look around the forums for a discussion of 3d and you'll find discussions of having more layers as well. We're not going to do 3d (see paragraph #1, above, for reasons why) and layers are the obvious alternative. But they won't be a good replacement for 3d, they'll simply be a way to better m...

Re: [1.3b87] Fog of war produces java error on player moveme

You posted your campaign, which is a good start, but lacked the details needed to debug the problem. I read your post and I read that other people didn't see a problem, meaning it is either software based or setting based. The line in bold above indicates an error that was a part of the movement lo...
