Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

I am unable to load the latest campaign file, or the one before it. Maptool doesn't hang or anything, it just refuses to load. I'm still on b56, could that be the reason?

Re: Mac Users: latest Java update from Apple

That's awesome. I would have thrown my hands in the air and re-installed.

Re: Printing With Map Tools

Well, MapTool isn't a map design tool (it's not like PhotoShop or GIMP). Rather it's a tool for importing a background image ("map") and placing tokens (PCs and NPCs) and objects (chairs, tables, lamps, ...) on the map for the players to explore. Having said that, MapTool has a rudimentar...

Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

That would be possible for some things. I will look into it after I get to the tinkering stage. Could you make up an Entangled state, Keith? I am working my way through the various powers in my Power Effects macro(that is the name I think I will use for anything not falling into the Apply Damage ma...

Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

I just checked it out. By the rules you do need to have at least one point of resistant defense to apply your normal defenses against killing stun. Which makes no sense to me. So, I go out and buy a leather cap, giving me 1 point of resistant defense to my head and suddenly I can apply my normal de...

Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

Stop getting me interested in it! I have a schedule. Christmas gift for 6th ed. That way I don't have to pay for it. Willpower, I have willpower!!!!! Another really nice thing is that they did away with hexes and inches. Now everything is simply measured in meters. What makes that really cool is th...

Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

While the list I am working on may seem long, most of it is copy/paste/make a few adjustments. There are a couple changes coming up that will affect token macros, lib macros, and a couple new properties(the flash thing, entangle thing, and something else). I should be able to buzz through those aft...

Re: Hero 5th ED macro set, brad's

Or I could stop trying to force all of the apply damage stuff into one macro. We could have 2 macros. Apply Damage that would cover just Killing, Normal, and Stun Only. Apply Powers that would cover all the other stuff. That way games that don't use powers much wouldn't have to deal with the clutte...

I have updated the token states to include Dying and AFK. Let me know if you need any more.

Re: Token States: Hero 5th

Here are two states to round out Brad's campaign settings. I have added Dying and AFK. If anyone knows any more that should be added, let me know.

I have also updated Dead to enlarge the skull a bit.

I can work on any graphics that are needed, such as filling out the states, but even though I've programmed this stuff before for Filemaker, I'm not up to speed on the macro language.

Re: MT 1.3b57 Progress - Take2

I would so love to see that sort of thing happen with the Hero System folks. Their character creator, Hero Designer, is completely written in Java and uses XML for all its data and I seriously think it would be a match made in heaven for the Hero gamers out there. I thought you were working on this?

Re: Mac Users: latest Java update from Apple

Myself, I've got too large a software and workflow investment to switch. Since I'm happy, that's a winning situation. Yep. And MS is happy that you're locked in -- and happy about it. Which is essentially my problem with Apple -- I'm feeling "locked in" as well and I'm a bit claustrophobi...
