Re: Macro help 1.3.b18 Hero System specific

.5d6 doesn’t work so how do you do Hero Dice for Body/Stun with 3.5d6 damage IE, Stun: [3.5h] Body: [3.5d6b] returns invalid expression This is new to me (remember I haven't played Heroes). What is 3.5d6 supposed to do? How the hell do you use regular dice to roll that? Is there a way to get just t...

Hmm... I use DiceTool every week during my game, and I have probably around 10 tabs. I will look into it further to see if I can replicate the "not more than 2 tabs save" problem. You are right, the macro labels are not shown in the results window. At the time that wasn't needed, but I can...

It is little known, but the oldest codebase here at RPTools is DiceTool, which was originally named DMTool, I wrote it about 4-5 years ago because I wanted to have a tool that supported more complex rolls than any of the other tools I had found. I also wanted something that took up very little of th...

This should be

StrBonus | floor((Strength-10)/2)

So that if the strength is odd you don't end up with a bonus of X.5.

I have checked in a fix for this into MapTool. Now you gotta convince Trevor to build you a new version. ;)

Damnit, every time I hit the refresh button the 3D distance calculations feature drops a little.

Is anybody else just clicking refresh, or is it just me?

I have started playing with getting explosion rolling to work, but don't have an ETA on completing it. For those that have checked out the parser: Basically, I am going to allow all functions to describe their own results. This will allow me to put together the interim description like this: 4d6+4 -...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 16

Contributed by Giliath/Phergus * Roll updates NOTES: - Phergus/Giliath have added some die rolling updates to help with Hero dice, but I didn't get the details in time, so I'll let him describe the change Phergus did a great job submitting a patch that does hero dice rolls. You can do a something l...

Have you seen anything that explains the math behind XP calculations? So far all I have seen is tables and I haven't really had the chance to reverse engineer the equations from the tables.

Personally, I am looking forward to these apps. They will drive up interest in online role playing aids and since WOTC is probably going to only target 4E, it will only drive interest and awareness in alternative virtual-table-tops like MapTool. I am really curious to see what the program line-up en...

Mean is usually calculated by summing the values and dividing by the number of values. This is also called the arithmetic mean. You seem to what the median value: a value in an ordered set of values below and above which there is an equal number of values or which is the arithmetic mean of the two m...

I don't completely understand what sort of function you are wanting, otherwise I could throw together one in javascript or dicetool syntax. This might help though if (abs(var0 - var1) < d100, 1, 0) That function works in the current dicetool syntax. For my testing I set var0=50 and v...

att(X) is a simple replacement for d20 that adds a label in these conditions: 1) hit/threat when the d20=20 2) threat when the d20>=X 3) miss when the d20 rolls a 1 The result should be the d20 rolled + the modifier. So in the case of att(19)+20, a 40 means you rolled a natural 20 on the d20.
