firebird84: The problem is you are missing the antlr plugin to eclipse. The trunk will almost always compile. In this case it is a undocumented setup requirement. I will put a readme in the root that references the required eclipse plugin.

Min and Max are currently supported as functions within the expression parser.

Try this in MapTool

[0+min(d20+17, 15)]

Regrettably, there is a bug in our current expression detection within chat that requires the 0+. Trevor and I will discuss that issue.

DiceTool can be extended with javascript. There is a functions.js file in the root when you download the zip version that can be replaced. There are a couple of examples in the current file. Here are a couple of forums that talk about it. m m For MapTool, we will be adding the javascript support som...

Hmmm. Thinking ... Perhaps the default should be to only show the result, with a hover or something that shows the actual roll. Then if you want the exploded version, do something like: [* d6 + d6] Where the "*" tells it to show the exploded view. Yeah, I like this the most. In the future...

Google Docs can handle most of that, too. You can save a local copy of the documents in PDF, DOC, or HTM formats (among others) or publish them as a web page. It's also a much easier method of collaboration. Yeah, I am hesitant to use google docs for that purpose. Ideally we could keep the document...

This is a great discussion going on. For in-program documentation I know of javahelp which is an open source program from sun. m. This is basically a java version of the in-program help you normally find in applications. This is probably our easiest way to include documentation inside the app. It lo...

Great idea StitchesNM.

I have added a section to the documentation http://www.rptools.net/doku.php?id=maptooldoc_1_2:intro labeled Current Editors. Just put your name, date and a brief description of the section of documentation that you are tackling.

Amaril, you bring up a very good point about the documentation of MapTool, and basically it sucks. Regrettably, you are seeing the most dangerous downfall of open source software. People work on things the pieces they enjoy and sometimes ignore the things they don't, leaving stuff like documentation...

Just so everyone has a glimpse behind the scenes. While I am not particularly vocal on the boards, Trevor, Dorpond and I constantly discuss features and how they are implemented. One of the things we constantly discuss is how to make sure that features don't overwhelm existing functionality. In my o...

Yep, we plan on flushing out how vision works as well in 1.3. There will probably be an option in the preferences for it to come from center of token or a selected apex or all apexs. Something like that.

If there are bugs in 1.2 we will decide whether they can/should be fixed in 1.2 and probably fix them. If there is anything critical we will absolutely fix them. As always, we welcome other contributors. You can submit patches and we will apply them to the 1.2 and/or the 1.3 code-base and re-release.

While you are technically correct, I am hesitant to remove anyone from the list so that large complex combats don't end up losing people. We could maybe make it an option to automatically skip Delayed characters so that it leaves them in the list but moves on to the creatures after them if it gets t...

No, I don't want this to be a catch-all property sheet, only the top couple. I want the size to be predictable, and containable Hmm... This would be a pretty useful feature in the future. Different game systems (or even different characters) have different attributes of different types of attribute...

Pretty. Hmm... This should probably only show up if you select the token. Mouse over would be fairly distracting, especially when you zoom out with lots of tokens. I am not sure I like the larger icon showing up with so much space taken. Is the idea to allow different images for in here? I would put...
