Re: Light sources visible when object is not

Is it worth all that code time implementing such a thing that will happen so infrequently? It's not MapTool's purview to interpret the definition of "Invisibility." As I pointed out, just change the token's icon to a blank .png whenever it becomes so, and nothing else. If you use it frequ...

Re: Light sources visible when object is not

http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/Invisibility.htm Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the ef...

Re: Light sources visible when object is not

What mode allows an invisible creature with a light source to have visible light? If it is in the hidden layer, how do I get to the token right-click options that are hidden in the other layers? IMarv *Points to the blank .png*...no, not there, you're looking in the wrong place...over there...yeah,...

Re: Light sources visible when object is not

The Visible to Player toggle and the Hidden Layer are working differently in this case, is what the confusion is about. VtP does indeed hide the light, but hidden layer does not. (Veg: I use blank 1x1px transparent tokens on the object layer for my lights. If this is changed so that the hidden layer...

Re: 4e interactive sheet & utilities

Still working on getting a new 3.51 bug fix up. Should be this evening when I get a chance to put the files together and get them uploaded. As to the undocumented toggle between sheet types... uh... yeah, this is what happens when other folks use what is essentially my random doodling with macro co...

Re: Blast Template

Curious to see if any Large (or any 2nx2n) creatures have odd blasts. I always considered it implied as center-based, due to the fact that I'd only ever seen odd-sized ones, but never put a great deal of thought into it before.

Re: 4e interactive sheet & utilities

Don't sweat it. I think everybody's been burned by it at least once; it's not a very nice interface "feature." -hC Well, now that the shame is gone , I think it's a nice and handy feature because in NPC mode, because the sheet is tighter and packed with usefull data and functions for comb...

I had no idea the framework could do that !
That's it, I've just try.
Thanks.

Gadzooks! That's beauty. I didn't even think of using macros for mapmaking tasks. Well done, sir! You have further broadened my MapTool horizons.

Re: 4e interactive sheet & utilities

We've got a strange bug on the translated version of the framework. Before I start investigating deeply I wanna know if it has happenned to someone with the original DN's framework : sometimes (rarely) a PC token will start displaying an NPC sheet (the opposit happens also) and will continue to do ...

Re: WoTC DM Survey Asks about Maptools or Fantasy Grounds

True, but the questions still didn't relate very well to how I game. Unfortunately, there was no general comments area to tell them how to get a clue in that regard. Hehe, there was an "Other" option, with a text box, on one of the questions ("How do you use your computer when you DM...

Re: Trouble with "Add to Resource Library"

The way I work around this is by adding the empty directory first, then exiting MapTool and moving everything inside, and then start MapTool again. Works without any problems. It's the on-the-fly import that seems to be the problem. This might even be related to the way new directories are also not ...

Re: [FREQ 1.4] Cell Based Interaction instead of Image-based

I think it would probably be important to make this a token only thing. i.e. it wouldn't affect object or background stamps. No no no!!! Please, no! I spend SO much time piecing together maps from tons of mostly-transparent images, and it's a source of constant frustration because of the difficulty...

Re: New Default Token Images

This would also help a ton with making maps. Stringing together images of terrain features with all kinds of overlap makes them extremely difficult to work with. Limiting the actual selectable area to an image's center would be quite handy. Not sure how the corner resize pseudo-button would work, ho...

Re: 4e interactive sheet & utilities

Re: going to "dying" instead of "dead" - the problem is that monsters in 4e don't usually get to have negative hp: it's presumed that 0 = dead for monsters and NPCs. (phb. 295). So my bug wasn't a "bug" per se, just monsters brought to -1 to -9 hp. Ah. The curse of rec...
