You should get that looked at. It could be fatal.

Not if you treat it well.

Yeah, sorry to derail your thread; your tool just sparked an idea and I ran with it. I'll write up a new post for it.

Re: "Combat Manager" for 4th Edition D&D

Well, that's kind of the point of putting out some guidelines, isn't it? >8) The case here is that there are multiple methods that are equally valid. If everyone just chooses one, you'll end up with what we have now. If I were writing a new tool/framework and there were a few guidelines, I'd just as...

Re: "Combat Manager" for 4th Edition D&D

Yeah, the point was really more to just use the same thing for stuff that's already the same, so as to not actively work AGAINST someone trying to make a tool that works with basic properties. Calling a property "ArmorClass" in one framework, and the exact same property "AC" in a...

Re: "Combat Manager" for 4th Edition D&D

blah blah... Exactly the "stickiness" to which I originally referred. I didn't say it would be EASY or that it would fix everything. But it's something worth considering, and--while potentially difficult--isn't logically impossible. Perhaps I'll write up something in the wiki. It certainl...

Re: User-Specified Soft Fog Effect

SITUATION: We can specify a simple color or texture for Fog of War (henceforth "Hard Fog"). We can also do so for area template drawing, plus opacity. COMMON REQUEST: "Automatically unexpose Hard Fog when it is out of player LOS!" IDEAL SOLUTION: GM function to specify the color...

Re: "Combat Manager" for 4th Edition D&D

There is the fact that any regular framework is also a combat manager entirely on it's own. Why add something different on top of that? You'd just be replacing 90% of your own work. I can't understand why anyone would even think to do this. 'Cause this one's better! But I still want nice character ...

Re: 4e interactive sheet & utilities

I've noticed that the frame work has very poor performance when I select a group of tokens and try to move them with the character sheet frame open. The performance hit takes place as soon as you drag a selection box around the tokens. then as you drag them. Then when you try to deselect them. By p...

Re: redundent Init menu item?

Do these do something different or are they redundant? "Add To Initiative" vs "Initiative --> Add" init.jpg Also, that menu is getting pretty bulky, any thoughts on grouping the facing to shrink it down by one (two if "Add To Init" can go too =) Facing --> Set, Clear I...

Got ya.

Do they not go with the Campaign Properties, when you export them, by default then?

I believe they do not. You must export both individually.

Okay, there is probably more here than I need but this is great stuff, thanks. It also gives me the chance to dig into the Macros and see how they work with real examples which I can fiddle with. How do I take this set of Camapign Macros and use them on other Campaigns? I know I can Export the Camp...

Used this for my wild shape... the character's name is Winter which is why the table is named as such. /me <!-- [formList=""] [COUNT(2): formList = formList+table("WinterImages",roll.count)+" "+tableImage("WinterImages",roll.count)+","] [input("...

Re: [b55] Assets on other maps are downloaded in the background

Even 10 years and "only" one virus is pretty fail, if you're the only one who uses the machine. That's Brigand. I've never been infected, personally, although I spent two years repairing desktop installs after employees kept going to read the Times of India website and getting themselves ...
