Re: Maptool Internet Connection error. HELP!!!

Yeah I followed that FAQ up and down. No luck. Are you suggesting maybe going to an older version and see if the UPnP would be better served since I can't get the port forwarding to work for whatever reason? Also is there anything special I have to do on the client side or is it just like any other...

Re: Maptool Internet Connection error. HELP!!!

Read the Networking FAQ and Setp-By-Step Guide to Server Debugging . Simply put: client connections rarely, if ever, require any special work, but the server must be set up correctly. The guide contains a series of steps to take to pinpoint the problem and steps to fix it. It also contains a bit of ...

Re: Can't understand why the tables don't line up.

For the first table you have

Code: Select all

<table cellpadding=0 cellspacing=0 border=0 width=350 align=center>

The second is

Code: Select all

<table width=350 border="0">

Note the missing align parameter.

Re: GetPlayerName...from token?

If you have the 'apply to selected token' box checked, then it will put up a dialog for each token selected. If it isn't, it won't. If that option is not checked, then you will need to use getSelected to get a list of which tokens are selected. Also, questions about the macro language will receive m...

Re: GetPlayerName...from token?

I want to create a macro where I can send a Whisper to any selected player token but I don't see a way to extract the token "ownership" (the player's name) from the token. Is there a way to do this that I'm not seeing? Or a better way to accomplish this? Thanks! To get a list of owners, u...

Re: 2 network interfaces, windows 7 problem

Java grabs the first network it sees by default. This link gives you a couple methods to change the network binding order on windows 7. If you wish to make the home network useable, we would need to know which step in the networking FAQ was the first to fail. It is likely that you would need to chan...

Re: Can someone find the error>

Something like this is what Wolf42's describing

Code: Select all

[TempVar = 0]
[
switch (TempVar), code:
case "0":
  {
    [Sizemod=8]
    [OtherMod = 1]
  };
case "1":
  {
    [Sizemod=7]
    [OtherMod = 2]
  }
]

Re: I can't host

Check out the Networking FAQ. It contains a series of steps that, if followed in order, will narrow down the problem to help us fix it. It also includes some terminology to avoid misunderstanding each other.

Re: Maptool Problem

I looked but could not find an answer. I am running the latest version of MT but I have a small problem. I was following the steps that another poster had put on here so as to create my dungeons for my games and I have a problem with my pencil editor that is in the top Right corner of the screen. I...

Re: cant access resources

o.k. some clarification. I try to download resources from the offical RPTools library like Devian Night´s Tokens ( excellent, have some rep! ) Funny thing is that very small packages go through but larger ones like the one mentioned above doesn´t. Sry that I wasn´t more specific in the first post. ...

I've been trying to start a server, however upon filling out the information and clicking "OK" absolutely nothing happens.
I checked the log.txt file in .maptools but it's completely empty.

Are you using Sun-Java, or OpenJDK? Maptool doesn't network well under OpenJDK.
