Re: Fiasco
Thanlis - what playsets have you played? I'm curious if really some are better than others. Any suggestions for the Aftermath? My understanding is you do your dice total which gives you the result (i.e. White 5) but then the book mentioned how you say a plot point for every die you have in front of ...

Re: Fiasco
I was actually talking about the "Drawing Tools -> Add Text Label To Map" Here's a what a game session looks like on a whiteboard (suggests index cards and stickies as options too): http://www.gnomestew.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/IMG_1910.jpg We were just using the labels cause we coul...

Re: Fiasco
Yeah the current text box could use some additional options... I wish you could constrain it and wrap the text and change the font size and font color... We did use a different background for some of the stuff, but I still think there could be some additional options... hopefully with 1.4 someone wi...

Re: Fiasco
Oh - nice... your framework looks great. I just realized I didn't change the background, I should've used sand for our western themed one. There's also a "play mat" that I took a screenshot of, cropped, and dropped down for ease of explanation. In addition to running the relationships, we ...

Got a chance to play fiasco last night after one of my Mutant City Blues players didn't show up. We jumped in, none of us having played before, and had 10 times more fun than I expected us to have. Here is what the game is for those that don't know: THINGS CAN GO WRONG, FAST… …Maybe some dude from y...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion
IIRC, Rumble's only used the Basic framework in play. I plan on using this one to finish out this 2.5 year campaign since we're already setup and rolling along, but will likely switch to Basic for future games. After using the modded Basic with Gamma World, I have to say that all my fears about swit...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
I'll give it a shot when they reopen with the new features, Rumble and co, if you guys wanna setup a time to check it out if they send you an invite we can hop on skype and mess with it... and I'm sure we can also BS about DMing, playing, and other systems.

Re: List of Dungeon Magazine 4E adventures
Yeah, it's even worse on the Dragon side of things... is this a crunchy article? Intended for a specific class, or is it a specific power source? They have neat titles, but many I just don't really know what to expect. They just need to apply the Compendium mindset to their magazine content and let ...

Re: List of Dungeon Magazine 4E adventures
Awesome... really makes it easy to mine adventures for level specific content or find that one you remember but can't get the timeframe or title.
I really wish Wizards would do a more comprehensive version that included which monsters were in it, maybe even # of encounters.

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
On the other hand, if I could pay and have 5 other players connect to me, it suddenly gets to be a solid option for 4E. Give me the importing of monsters/charsheets and access to token/monster images and dungeon tiles and it would be enough to keep me paying for DDI. Add in Gamma World support, too,...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
I'd probably give it a fairer shake when I beta tested it, but since it seems all players will need a DDI subscription, it wont ever be something my group will be interested in. They'll buy their PHB but beyond that they aren't too interested in spending much more (other than getting their DM an occ...

Re: [Request] GUMSHOE
Anybody had a chance to use the fw yet?
Picked up MCB for one group, another is looking into maybe grabbing EsoTerrorists to run a Supernatural themed game or two.

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion
I don't really use the feats/traits that much, but it might be that you need to save the feats/traits on the page after entering them? I know some of the character input pages require you to save at the bottom - but don't have the fw up in front of me. If not, I suspect perhaps a big is clearing them.

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final (build 83)
One of my most used programs. I used it more in the last 3 years then all the games I've payed $50 a piece for. This statement is what really hit home for me! Volunteers do what they do because they love doing it -- and because they think they'll make the world a better place in some way. Perhaps o...
