dorpond: I think we've got most of the features down, but thanks for the offer! We have been keeping it low because of one player's computer problems. Good news! The format and reinstall of windows solved all of that player's problems. It now connects and runs fine. Thanks to trevor for all his help...

We'll get it, I'm sure. Doing the format tonight... wish us luck!

As much as I suspect just leaving out LBL/FOW might improve us a whole lot, that isn't as much fun when exploring deep dark caves 8)

I'm beginning to become worried about the participation of one of my players as we do actual maps (so far we've just been using tokens w/ no vision or FOW). How would you folks rank the various "features" in terms of much they affect performance? i.e. (1) FOW 2) LBL 3) Texture'd drawing etc.)

There are a few minor things that I'd like to see in there, but overally my groups biggest fear is the program cramming too many features into it that it makes it difficult or daunting for new people to use. Or when new features "get in the way" of existing features. I think we'd really like to see ...

I'm happy with performance myself and most of my players. We do have one who is running XP Home, 1.4Ghz Pentium M, 768 RAM and we have major issues. I'm currently working with trevor on this and we're gonna try a format / reinstall and hopefully that fixes things up. I've always used unbounded maps ...

I think the plan (for version 1.3) is to allow the gm to specify the most important attributes (like str, AC, hp whatever) that would be available in some sort of popup-style way when mousing over different tokens. If I remembered that correctly, you could simply create an altitude attribute and cho...

Overlays request...

Hey, I'm getting kind of stale with my usage of overlays... if you guys are using custom overlays, would it be possible for you to upload to the gallery? Thanks in advance, I'm eager to start using some different ones.

Just a thought, but it's prolly easy and might be worth it to put the Java version in the help->about of Maptool.

Good questions. I'm interested in seeing a more complex user guide created as I keep discovering great features that weren't initially covered in the documentation. So far things are going great with my campaign. I'm really really impressed. The only issues we've run into is one of the players compu...
