Re: Write your Senator
A little late to the party here, but figured I'd pop in anyway with a few points... I don't like the bill as it stands. I especially hate the random stuff where they're throwing money at specific projects or credits. I'm for letting people keep as much of their money as possible and reject the notio...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
Since you can import an entire adventure into the tool, I can also see them releasing some content that is easy to set up for a DM. It'd be cool if every Dungeon magazine also had an adventure file to use in the VT. That is a great point. Even if it's only future supplements, being able to read a d...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
First impressions - this thing is smooth. For a beta, it is pretty solid. I couldn't find any bugs, and I didn't find any annoyances as far as speed. Everything was straightforward... in fact, I think from a stability / obvious usability standpoint this beta is better than any of WotC's other tools....

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
Got the invite... do you need other people or can you pop around GM mode only?

Re: "varsFromJSON"...in a manner of speaking
If you were to functionalize your method, aliasmask, how would you do that? Or simply just replace the object and use the full line every time?

Re: "varsFromJSON"...in a manner of speaking
Excellent! I suspected it was a scope issue, but wasn't sure where to else to go. Appreciate you taking the time to take a look.

Re: "varsFromJSON"...in a manner of speaking
I'm trying to use JSON objects as a deck to simulate card draws and input all of the encounter cards for a custom Ravenloft Board Game FW... I'm having trouble with the varsFromJSON. Attaching the library with 3 properties (Encounters, EncounterDeckContents, EmptyEncTemplate). When I run the "A...

I haven't put together your custom build yet, but I wonder:
If ImpersonatedToken = True, Then Source = ImpersonatedToken
Then you click on a target. If no impersonated token, then it works souce->target is how I'd imagine.

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
I'm surprised most of the "reviews" are giving them a free pass because the CB launch was so bug ridden. I know maybe a FEW of them might not have any VTT experience, but we'll see how quickly the surprise honeymoon goes on. And I don't think the interface is that great... I can easily see...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
Pros: Doesn't seem to be buggy? Cool it has a voice changer built in. Seems to have neat tiles. Cons: Uhhh, what are you paying for? As far as I see it MapTool is lacking: 1) Good Measurement and Line of Sight stuff for specific system rules (and it looks like this supports 3.5 so I imagine selectin...

Re: [Gamma World] Framework Adaptation
I'm eagerly waiting to try this out, but cannot get GW because I've been banned by the girlfriend from any purchases until after Christmas... ...but did have a question. I do have the Ravenloft Board Game and was thinking about whipping something together myself to play it with my group. The mechani...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
In fact, one is written in java and one in silverlight ::scratches head:: errr... web services... You're right - they can definitely still interact from the same database of powers etc. even with different frontends. I shouldn't be overly critical of the future intergration, though it currently isn...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
WotC can provide a quality product only if it is able to 1) Do the work for you (optionally) - this is one thing that would set it apart from your typical VTT and they could do an even better job than frameworks since it could be coded and tuned to just that system. 2) Integrate with compendium, cha...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion
As for the hit line - it shows up when you hit. I thought it was suppressed for NPCs, but maybe not. Ah, can the suppress for NPCs be a framework option? I always scrub the secondary or after effect lines or other information on the power, so I don't mind the PCs seeing the results. Had tons of fun...
