Re: MapTool and Super Heroes

Hey Jagged. I love MapTool because it is a solution for me to some of the very problems you seem to be wondering about. After years of battlemat shuffling (having two+ megamats helps, but only to a point), abstract calculations ("..you started 25 hexes off this side, and with your knockback and...

Re: the movement pad

May I assume that this is square-grid only (no hexes)?

Re: NPC Initiative

I *really* like this macro idea! I have the exact same need for large fantasy combats with many NPCs.

This functionality may exist in somebody's framework already, but I don't use any of the commonly found frameworks...

Good idea!

Re: [TOOL] The Loot Divider - NEW PRODUCT!

Sounds really neat, I like the quality look and feel in the spreadsheet, some nice bells and whistles. ...if only we ran our campaigns that way! I don't personally like the "absolute monetary value" approach to divvying up loot. I find it hard to roleplay for a fantasy gaming world where b...

Re: Fantasy Maps - DnD

I love premade stuff. I generally try to keep the look consistent, so if there are multiple premade maps (like Terf's, which are awesome - I especially like the cave hideout) in a "set," that's even better. I find my players don't mind in the slightest if I repurpose a map. What would be ...

Re: Fantasy Maps - DnD

I like the attention to detail, like the shadows from the skylights on the indoor hideout.

Of course, I didn't know that potted indoor plants were a staple of the fantasy genre...

(sorry to be late to the party, but this is an ingenious solution. Now I have to adapt it with my growing Hero system framework--I thank you, but my wife probably does not  )

That certainly seems like a reasonable setting for the initiative pane.

Re: [1.3bXX] Having the Init Panel visible even in Full Screen?

Windows cannot overlap the full-screen window. All other application windows will always appear beneath the full-screen window in the Z-order. Yep, not easily doable. But you could custom draw some sort of cool-guy overlay with the initiative chart (with an alpha-blended background?). Significant w...

Re: [1.3bXX] Having the Init Panel visible even in Full Screen?

I have to agree--for me the init panel is also something that I want to see in full screen mode.

I wonder if other people find that there are other windows that they want to see in full screen mode...or if people use full screen mode at all?

Re: [1.3b56] Template tool does not follow hex grid

I think I want to shock this thread back to life--I just got done from playing a great MapTool-enabled Champions game where I used all three techniques for AoE effects: - drawing text on a layer - using the square grid-based Templates - creating tokens for the effects I have to say that the one that...
