Any Chance we could Upload Images?

I love Dundjinni's boards because we have the ability to share user created art. Can we do the same here? I was just going to upload some frames I made and I found that I don't have the funtionality. I really don't want to post my stuff on a website first and point to the image if I can avoid it. Ju...

Demonstrated for Players: Issues I Had

Before you all think this is a negative thread, it is not. I love the program so far and am excited to use it in production a few weeks from now when it is my turn to DM. First, a little about me and how I plan on using MapTools. I am going to be the host of course and will be running MapTools, DMGe...

All good points!

Being new to the forums and to the tools, I am just getting into all of the past debates.

Any suggestions for a Noob to get caught up quickly in usage and issues being address currently?

Thanks!

PS. How often do you come out with updates? Monthy? Weekly? Half-Yealy? :)

Walking in Darkness (FoW)

OK, from what I have seen we cannot walk into FoW. Maybe their is a keystroke to force it or something? If their isn't, this is bad because according to D20 rules, you can move through darkness but with reduced speed. Can this be changed/discussed or can you educate me how it is done if it is possib...

Can you please make the true circle a blocky circle in the next release? Please don´t do this unless you make it an option. Some of us play games where light doesn´t radiate in square blocks. Then at least make the circle eminate out from an intersection like the Area Effect Circle does. This way t...

Please Please Please

The more I use Maptool, the more I get frustrated removing FoW where light is. Why did you make the circle FoW remover a real circle and not a Area Effect circle (blocky)? So the mage casts light at the end of the hall and marks the area of effect. I the DM then has to fumble for minutes trying to r...

Shadows go bye-bye

This may be a user error. I made a really nice frame with Photoshop to use in Token Tool. The frame I made has transparent shadows inside and outside the frame. If I take that saved PNG frame (empty) and put it directly into Maptools, it displays the shadows nicely. It is when I take that empty fram...

Lots of discussion on how to accomplish this.... I am not a programmer but logically speaking, it would be impossible for an application to automatically know that THIS is a wall and THIS isn't. Same things for other types of cover like trees. So since we can rule out the application "knowing&...

As long as it doesn't reveal stuff on other sides of walls :)

That would be bad :)

New Map: Feet Per Cell: Miles Per Cell?

I am thinking overland map and tracking where a party is and has been. Of course removing fog while they travel overland and having towns/camps/ruins/ETC tokens when they come across them; however, I noticed that when I go New Map, I only have the option to pick Feet Per Cell. Could you have an opti...

Thinking a bit more on this, why not just add another button in the template setting/color window to be FOG. When turning it on, the template will remove/add fog instead of drawing a template. Fill - Snap to Grid - Eraser - Fog Or like I mentioned before, have an option under the Light portion of th...

Character moves Cached

It would be nice to have the ability to go back a round for whatever the reason. Sometimes there was a serios rule error that killed a character or whatever that makes the game go back a round. It would be a great feature if you could cache the character movements. Just now for example I moved a tok...

Fog of war template

Like I stated before -I am new to this great application so this may already be possible. When removing fog, it would be nice to be able to remove fog with a template. The "draw a radius template" would be a great choice to remove fog along with the other templates you have there. Or you c...
