Re: Advice on "mist" or "fog" effect?
You can also use dark-colored lighting on a hidden object with a huuuuuuge radius. I used to use a black-colored light source for the darkness spell.

Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 61
I'm out of the loop. What were the previous connection issues? I think sometimes people would timeout and the server wouldn't automatically boot them, nor would the boot command work. It never happened to me personally, and I think either it would eventually boot them or allow either duplicates or ...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 61
With all due respect, it would make more sense to simply report bugs and wait for the next release rather than to complain about a product freely given to a niche community not being ready as quickly as you'd like. I for one enjoy the overall map tool experience, despite the bugs, and I am happy th...

Re: LibToken's visibility
Lib:Tokens don't need to be on the same map (they never did). They must not be owned by any players, and they must have "Visible to Players" checked. But I always put them on a separate map (usually some plain map called "Default") and leave them there. Does the map need to be v...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 61
Eh. Most of these beta builds are pretty darn stable. Most isn't good enough for me. There have been a number that have broken things unexpectedly. The release came out the same day as our session, and when we try to use a feature, it's unexpectedly broken, such as dragging a token on a gridless ma...

LibToken's visibility
As of b61, does a LibToken need to be visible for players to use macros from it? Does it still need to be on the same map?

Re: MapTool 1.3 Development Build 61
I do personally hope you get get the 1.3 Final build out before that day, then, my players are getting annoyed at having to update so often for reasons I can't really discern. My players have found using the WebStart is much easier than updating the zip file each game... might want to pass that alo...

Re: Mouse zooming issues in Windows 7
Uninstalled IntelliPoint. Unplugged both mice. Plugged the USB transciever for the notebook mouse into a different port (forcing it to reinstall as a new device), and cancelled the IntelliPoint installation that Windows 7 tried to run. Plugged the Comfort Optical mouse into its previous port and ca...

I searched and found the last instance of this issue, but the discussion didn't have any solutions.Phergus wrote:You might try some searches as this issue has come up before and I believe there was a way to fix it. It is driver/Java interaction issue.

Re: Mouse zooming issues in Windows 7
Great, now the notebook mouse doesn't zoom right. Windows 7 automatically installed IntelliPoint via Windows Update (I didn't stop it just to see what would happen), then for a brief moment both mice worked properly, then they both didn't work.

Re: Mouse zooming issues in Windows 7
Uninstalling didn't help. Any other ideas besides blowing money on a new mouse?
Update: I plugged in my MS Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse 4000, and it scrolls/zooms just fine.
