Re: [Rumble 5] FREQ: Multiple mark/quarry states
Well, we run a face-to-face game with me running a second monitor off my laptop, so all of the mousing around is done by me; having multiple state images allows the players to better see what they are doing without me having to mouse over the quarried victims, so I'd actually prefer additional state...

[Rumble 5] FREQ: Multiple mark/quarry states
My group has a bad habit lately of having multiples of Rangers or Paladins running around, and it would be cool if there were multiple state conditions in different colors for Marks, Quarries and Divine Challenges and such. (In one game, we have a Ranger with a blue Quarry estate and another uses gr...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Bugfix Build 74
Actually, the terminology used so far makes sense to me - if you are extricating pieces of data from the whole work in a format that allows you to merge it into another existing work or a new work, then that is an Export / Import operation, the same as when you pull a set of campaign props or macros...

Re: Calling all volunteers
And this is where it sucks to be a Gemini - one half says "Pfft. Serves 'em right for trusting a Dev build, the fools" and the other side thinks it's a pretty kind thing to do.
I'm the first to admit that I'm a crotchety old fart though, so I say it serves 'em right

Re: Calling all volunteers
Pardon me for being a fogey here, but isn't that what the 'Development' release is? I know that a lot of folks are willing to run with it as soon as it is posted, but anything in the Dev branch has always been considered a beta. Perhaps a third column on the website would be appropriate instead? Som...

Well, I know of a program that does what Hawke was talking about - it's a WordPress plugin called Ubernyms, and can be found here:

That would explain it Hawke. I wish I had been paying attention when they were handing that rework out, I'd love to have a copy.

Re: Rumble's D&D Framework, Version 5.0
LINK PLZ!!!!!!!! :D Wizards gave out a 4E port of the original Tomb of Horrors as one of their DM rewards. While not available for purchase, I'm sure there are copies on ebay that are available. Actually, it is indeed currently on sale, and you should be able to grab a copy at your local pusher's (...

Re: Maptool Concepts: The Next UI, Look, and Feel
One more thing to note in the argument about dumbing-down the program: the serious users are also the GMs, a profession that requires quite a bit of intelligence, research and problem-solving. They can handle a complex program. The users that will have the most trouble with it are the ones Phergus w...

Beware of moving things around inside that \.maptool directory, as it may be overwritten by program updates. If you want those resources reorganized, your best bet is to move them to a different location in your folder structure and add them like any other local folder.

I know you'll be reading this script in, but if you ever want to include a transcript, you may want to correct "PREforms" to "PERforms" in the 4th paragraph.

Re: Port Forwarding on a Verizon MiFi2200
Since the silly thing won't let you pick a port, I would suggest setting it for the NNTP protocol, as you are less likely to get bothered by hackers than if you were to run using the more popular ports like FTP, HTTP and the others.
