Re: Simple set-up

The trick is that you will need to have a second display of some sort for the players so that they cannot see the GM-side of everything. This, of course, only matters if you use things like vision and lighting. For my own face-to-face crew, I just move all of the tokens for them, and they roll their...

I could find uses for a tileset like that. Any chance you may be uploading it in the future?

Nice! I always appreciate a good quote randomizer.

Here's one for the 'Gamers' file:

"Full disintegrator setting means never having to use a body bag."

Re: Port issues, with MT and Others (windows issue)

If it affects all 4 machines, it has to be in the router, modem, or ISP settings. (Yes, I have seen ISP's randomly decide to block servers.)

I'm a pretty good network guy, PM me tomorrow and I'll help where I can. (I work the day shift, Pacific time, but answer email all day long.)

Re: Layer above Token?

Nope, there is currently no way to customize layers - it's in the list of feature requests to be sure, but will not be added to the MT 1.3 line. I think your best bet is to make it a token and then right-click->Arrange->Bring forward to move the smoke to the top of the stack as it were. You can then...

Re: Use Maptools with PC?

Is it possible to use maptools with a single PC hooked to a projector pointing down at a gaming table? What all of these mac fans and Linux geeks are trying to say is: Yes. It can be done. You should be able to find a tutorial for your exact setup with just a little bit of Googling. The methodology...

Re: What's your Alignment?

Neutral Good seems to be a popular choice - I've claimed it for many years, except for those occasions when Chaotic Good was more appealing :D

The answer is no, only you see the measure tool. I do this all the time in my face-to-face game.

As someone who has to deal with things like this as their vocation, I offer this advice: The product is a Dell, and therefore manufactured to the cheapest standards their customers will tolerate. If it is under warranty, then proceed with calling tech support, jumping through the hoops in their scri...

I agree. If an uninstall/reinstall of Java doesn't fix it, search out updated NIC drivers for your machine.

Re: The MapTool 1.3 Stable Pool!

*Updated 12-17-2009 - again with the late edits. b61 down, b62 was quite hopeful, but it too fell by the wayside. (and Orchard had that speech all planned out.) Now it seems that Azhrei is on deck again with b63, but Trevor has mentioned a b64 to solve a problem with the German translation file. Co...
