Re: [b55] Assets on other maps are downloaded in the background

I only visit sites I trust. I use NoScript. I use AdBlock+ and I have malwarebytes scheduled to run every morning while I'm asleep. I have also edited my hosts file to blacklist many known sites that traffic malware. This sounds an AWFUL LOT like my setup here, actually. Its so easy to set up, requ...

Re: Discussion: Movement Proposal

Could we have optional ways to input movement? Click-pickup, click-waypoint, doubleclick-set down might be nice for somebody who only has one button, but I have a full keyboard and 3+ button mouse at my disposal and would probably prefer using shift-click for waypoint and single-click to pick up or...

Re: [b55] Assets on other maps are downloaded in the background

I receive all my network packets via U.S. Mail. I have an army of South American schoolchildren in my basement decode them for me and render webpages with Crayola markers on a whiteboard.

True story.

Re: Smart Objects?

(Edit: Interesting. Phergus said the other images couldn't be accessed and I don't see set functions in the wiki for things like the portrait and handout, but the get functions are there? In the mean time then, the Image: token approach would work.) I posted a feature request for this, here: http:/...

Re: Ubuntu Linux 64 bit + Java 64 bit + Maptool

The main gripe I have is that they don't use freetype, and their built-in fonts look like doodie.

What happens if I uncheck the "Show this checkbox" checkbox? Will a rift form in the space-time continuum? What if I want to turn the checkbox back on? http://www.beauvais1.com/wp-content/uploads/maptool_1-3b56_checkbox.png LOL ! And more LOL ! I have no idea how that came about :...

Anyone have any kudos or complaints about 64 bit linux/java?
Works great for me. Not Ubuntu, specifically, but that shouldn't matter. Only gripe is Java font rendering on Linux can be ugly at times, but that's not really a MapTool issue.

Those new top-down images look fantastic! More please! -hC For reference, these were commissioned from devinnight at fouruglymonsters.com for a few bucks each. Re: [b55] Assets on other maps are downloaded in the background

Somehow I doubt you use "gigabytes" of textures. Exaggeration won't win. Besides, if there is one major community asset pak that has hundreds of textures, thousands of objects, and tiles, it allows you to create pretty much anything you want and include one-off bounded maps in a separate ...

Very well thought-out; very interesting take--although I think most respondants here are forgetting this is the New Tool Requests board (and you can ignore Brigand...in my short time here I've found his only purpose is to attempt to make everyone else feel as miserable as he seems to be all of the t...

[1.3.b55] Smoother grid-snap token movement

Thought this might be a better place for this than the b55 release thread: The feedback from dragging a token that has "Snap to Grid" set is very clunky, as the token "jumps" from cell to cell. Removing the line (771 in PointerTool.java in the current SVN) zonePoint = renderer.ge...
