Re: Token states on portrait

For those who want more control over the stat sheet, just make your own using a auto-updating frame. You can fill it with whatever HTML you want. If you set portrait size to 1 in the preferences and make your frame update macro the only *'d property, you won't get anything but a teeny tiny, almost i...

Light source random(?) order

I'm trying to use aura based light sources as range indicators. They work great, but the order in which the lights are listed in the menu seems to be completely random -- constant, but not in the order I put them in the list and not in any specific order that I can discern. It then rearranges the li...

Re: Extremely minor request

The X isn't going to be part of the token. It's just going to be an overlay on the positioning window.

Extremely minor request

Already, a token can be moved in the Properties->Config->Layout window to adjust its anchor point (it'll always rotate around the point that's in the center of that window). The problem is, there's no mark defining where the exact center is. Can you put just a little graphical overlay of a crosshair...

Re: Warmachine Prime Framework - Now available!

Someone requested a screen shot, so here it is. It's zoomed in on the units, since obviously, being Maptool, you can design the rest of the map however you want. Hopefully, I'll be getting permission to use someone's graphics which will mean MUCH nicer looking tokens. Sorry it's so big, but if I shr...

Re: 4e D&D's line of site vs. Maptool's

I think, since 4e is so decidedly square-centric, you might allow a separate, simpler vision system entirely based on squares and their corners. You wouldn't get the (so very cool) crack of vision through an arrow slit, but you would have a more system-accurate means of displaying and enforcing lig...

Re: RFC: Wargamers, what do you need from MapTool?

Actually, after setting an image to freesize you can drag the little box in the bottom right corner of the image to resize it however you want. Be sure to read the text in the statusbar at the bottom of the window for hints on how to use it. Well, for non-tokens, yeah. I'm talking about actual toke...

Re: RFC: Wargamers, what do you need from MapTool?

I just thought of something else: more control over piece size. Set it up the same way you can do lighting and vision range in the Campaign Properties and make sure it can do decimals. If I set up my board as 100 pixels is 1 cell, I want to be able to make my units 1.18 cells square (30 mm), 1.57 ce...

Re: RFC: Wargamers, what do you need from MapTool?

A lot of these are good ideas, but most of them seem to be about automation, not table top replacement. Sure, targeting is fine, but what's wrong with typing "attacking x, y, and z". Oh! That's right, you want it to be able to auto-resolve combat given your attack macros. That's not table ...

Warmachine Prime Framework - Now available!

This is a framework for playing Warmachine online. It's primarily designed from Prime Remix, so it MAY not be able to handle some later units properly. I'm currently restructuring for the MkII rules, but this is perfectly playable in the meantime. Unfortunately, for legal reasons, I don't feel it is...

Re: Frameworks for Warhmachine or Warhammer?

I just started on one (and much of it is already done). There's not much automation, but there's an super token system so the tokens store like EVERYTHING. Because of that though, I don't know if the tokens can be released. So far I've got Cygnar from Prime Remix done. Most of my time has been spent...

This one looks promising http://www.honeylocust.com/RngPack/

It's up to you, of course. I didn't see anything about Java's random generator having any problems. It could just be an odd statistical fluke in my die rolls.

Yeah, I was just looking at the code and about to say I think you should handle it 'cause it looks like it'd be something you'd want to structure yourself. Right now, I guess I can just set all the tokens onto the fireld and save campaign. I've got a Cygnar vs Cryx Battlebox fight set up that I thin...

I've got it to send messages to the chat box when someone measures, when they pick up a token, and then how far they moved that token. I'm attempting to get the RangeRings done, and I think they mostly are but I have to do the ui stuff like adding an option for them to the popup menu and a dialog bo...
