Re: Android Support

You could solve some of this with a map web view to display maps and character sheets. It could then be embedded via api into a mobile app for iPhone and Android. This could turn into a possibility once the API engine becomes more robust.

Re: Nice to meet you ...

You use the drawing tool and select textures as the fill and border. Snap to Grid in the drawing will be useful as well.

Re: Nice to meet you ...

Long time gamer, new Maptool user here. Been looking at VTT software for a while, to support my gaming group in local play - (we wanted something for battlemaps, visual aids, etc.). We all still roll dice, move minis, etc. by hand personally, and like it that way (no offense to anyone else who like...

Re: Eclipse IDE Install for Maptool 1.4 for a clean Windows

This is only if you plan on developing Java code for MapTool, TokenTool, etc.

Re: chartool - nullPointer error - a partial fix

It would be great if Jay or a volunteer would port CharTool over to the GitHub repository and get it up to snuff with the latest version of Java.

Re: alter size of figures without changing the size of the t

Not as yet. However, I"m wondering if this is the desired behavior when you select a token size, vs. having it freesize. Basically, if a token is set to medium, the bounding box always takes up one square.

Thoughts?

Re: [FREQ] I need a json version of Input()

I support this. The input function is valuable and may get a facelift with JavaFX. The current input works well but the string manipulation is sometimes pretty onerous.

Re: "<pre>" and the chat window

I believe the transition to JavaFX will entail expanded HTML capabilities so the problem may be fixed as that transition occurs.

Re: [v1.4.1.7 test]

So, from the first post, you basically want the lock down the token from being edit with changes only occurring through macros?

From post 2, you might want to explore the Global macro window to see is some combination of Global and Campaign get you what you want.

I use defer in my framework and it seems to work. <shrug> Maybe it's the power of Linux. :)

Re: Token Generation Macro

You can do this, however there can be an issue creating a token and updating its stats inside the same macro.

Please read the wiki article on copyToken paying attention to the note about execLink with deferred execution.

Re: Nesting limits revisited

We have the beginnings of JavaScript which doesn't have the nesting limit but that is still in the early stages of implementation. The next round of development should see that capability grow significantly.

MTSscript still has the 2 deep limitation.
