Re: [Rumble 5.1.3]: Custom Mods

NOTIFYING STRIKERS WHEN THEY CRIT Current: The FW notifies strikers when they hit, but does not indicate whether that hit was a crit. Proposed improvement: To notify strikers when they crit. Method: Open the token Lib:4e and look for the macro 'requestBonusDamage' Edit that macro and find this code...

[Rumble 5.1.3]: Custom Mods

I'm very fortunate to have a coder for a player. Now that Rumble has finished developing version 5, we'll be tinkering with our copy of the framework to add functionality that we like. I'll post the results here for those who are interested. Caveat: I'm relaying information from my player, and it's ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Find the Lib:RegExParser token (one of the main 6) and select it. Go to the selection window and find the 'SummaryParser' macro button.

Right-click it and choose 'Edit', then replace the text Rumble mentioned.

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Possibly a dumb question, but are you using F4 first to set the token up for the FW before using F5 to import the character? The only other thing I can think of is that "Feat User Choice: Implement Expertise (Orb)" looks unusual. I've never seen that in a character summary before. Is it an...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

I'm trying to build a knight for a friend in 5.1.3. How exactly do I build the stances? For example, Poised assault: You assume the poised assault stance. Until the stance ends, you gain a +1 power bonus to the attack rolls of basic attacks using a weapon. For this particular character, EVERY attack...

Re: [4E] An Attempt to Return the Framework to its Classic F

I can't seem to get the sneak attack macro to do anything.

I used the "Class Feature (F10)" utility to add a sneak attack button to a token, but when I use the button it doesn't seem to do anything. Not even announcing the outcome of the 2d6 roll in chat.

Have I done something stupid?

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

I just tried to run a session as GM for some friends, and everything was taking 12+ seconds to happen.

Any idea what sort of system resources and download/upload speeds I need from the framework to run smoothly?

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Rumble wrote:On the second, I would simply create two daily powers - Virtue's Touch 1 and Virtue's Touch 2. Since I don't recall any mechanism of granting save bonuses to each other, it would just be a tracking thing, but then they'd recharge properly and so forth.
Excellent thinking. Thanks

Re: Token Database for Rumble's Framework v5

Portrait only shows up when you hover over the monster. It shows the ugly token w/ border or the portrait. As DM, you're going to be doing an awful lot of hovering over monsters, including every time one of them moves or you select one of them. Which is why I set portrait size to 1 pixel and don't ...

Re: Token Database for Rumble's Framework v5

Ya images and powers take the most time. I usually try to attach a portrait as well (so they have a circle or square around their token, but on hover they have a real portrait with no border). My preference is for no portrait. IMO once you have a selection window and chat window open, there's too l...

Re: Token Database for Rumble's Framework v5

I create the tokens with tokentool. Me too. It does have circle borders :) But I know what you mean about hassle, especially if you're talking about going back and amended existing token images. Incidentally, it's not as difficult as I originally thought. You do it by editing the token and altering...

Re: Token Database for Rumble's Framework v5

Thanks for contributing Colmarr. Make sure to check to see if the ones you do are already done. The white dragon wyrm and Orc Bombardier were done already. I'd also suggest we settle on a similar format. I already have ~300 original ones not made by me and about 40 made by me with the square light ...

[Rumble 5.1.2 FREQ] No description line

Just a quick request for the next (and I understand last) iteration of RFW. When a power prints to chat, it includes the fluff/flavour line even if that line is empty. Is it possible for the framework to remove that line in those circumstances, so that chat displays: Tide of Iron (Standard action) G...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion

Not able to with this framework. Can't do targeted bonuses like that. Remember it and add it manually I'm away from my maptools machine at the moment, but I could have sworn I remember a field in the conditions area that allows you to specify targets. IIRC it's the one that includes the "all&q...
