Re: Card Packs
@wolph42: not that it sounds too much work for me, it's only I've got very few experience with macros and I know I don't have enough knowledge at the moment. I'd make a mess out of it  Being a beginner is the reason why it sounded interesting to me  I'm just about to begin my own framewo...

Re: Card Packs
Manipulating a freshly created token (meaning in the same macro as it is copied) is difficult if not impossible. to elaborate: copyToken is executed at the end of EVERTHING, this is not entirely correct wording (it actually has to do with caching) but this is a good rule of thumb to keep in mind. T...

Re: Help with treasure macro
I think what you try to achieve would be much easier with Tables , even if it's otherwise quite easy macro programming, but I'll let seasoned coders answer you regarding how to do it with a macro. Here's where you will find how Tables work : Tables It's a video tutorial coming from this page : Tutor...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch01 (build 84)
Also, the initial division is into 6 eq. triangles (call em the first tier), but each of those is divisible into 4 (second tier), and the six center-of-the-hex-directed second-tier triangles combine to form a small hex around the center, which may parallel to an extent what Azh was thinking with re...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch01 (build 84)
Just to put my two pence, dividing hexes into more hexes might be "a bit tricky" , especially if you want the resulting divided hexes to tile together :? Here's what it looks like from HexMapper (Mac software dedicated to create "fractal" hex maps) : hex_division_1.tiff hex_divis...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final, patch01 (build 84)
Then try starting another MapTool and connecting as a GM. You should be able to force everyone again using that second instance. :) On the Mac you won't be able to (easily) run a second instance. There's probably a way from the GUI, but I know from the command line you can enter open -n MapTool-1.3...

Re: MapTool 1.3 Final (build 83)
This is it! This is the final release of MapTool 1.3 and we now officially start on 1.4! All hail the King! ;) Great job ! Thanks for all the hard work that went into it. For all of you thinking about 1.4, just remember that it will take some time. Well, given the amount of work needed, I don't thi...

Re: Lists for Maptool
All we're trying to do is return a random record from a user-selected list. Why would you ever need more than 1 column for this? I admit ... this is probably a lack of imagination on my part! Well, may you could take a look at the post I leaved in a preceding thread. It might give you a few hints. ...

Re: Too Many Darn Lists
I delayed this post for two reasons. First I'm new to MapTool, and thus had a very quick look at what Tables can and cannot do. Second, I hadn't time to evaluate the software I'm going to talk about, Inspiration Pad Pro to mention it. Anyway, the work people did here already got quite a long way, an...

Re: Nice Input() trick to show blank entry for values
The only limitation, I suppose is that the variable name is visible as the prompt (and the variable name/contents must be StrProp-compatible). I had a similar problem with an input() I did to change token states. Having state names with blank inside quickly became an obvious problem at some point :...

Re: Plo's Inventory Manager
Great job plothos. I might borrow it for a framework I'm working on. I've got a few questions regarding my own needs, but they may be of some interest for others : 1) is it possible to have containers inside containers ? 2) is it possible for a PC to drop a container on a temporary basis, aka a &quo...
