Re: How would I implement custom skills?
I don't know enough to be super helpful, but why not have skills named in the json array (rather than reference a row? I don't really understand what you mean there) and then why not have it throw an error (or a default) if someone doesn't have that skill, so if say the skill "psionics" do...

Re: [Gamma World] Framework Adaptation
Turns out on the button color thing, I think I may have been confused about something that was an encounter that I thought wasn't. I incorrectly assumed all the Origin Novice Powers were at-will since they are all green in the GW book. Upon closer inspection, the one that showed up Red in your FW wa...

Re: D&D with local and remote players
WE used to use skype but Dolby Axon is TONS better. I'd like to try it but there's no Mac client yet (and the download link immediately tried to send me a Windows EXE! ;)) although they're supposedly working on one. Yeah, anything that doesn't allow for Mac players puts it out of my reach as I usua...

Re: D&D with local and remote players
I spent a large amount of my professional life working from home and/or on conference calls at the office. I cannot stress how a little investment in good equipment as far as phones, headsets, etc. can make a huge difference. You want people to be focusing on the story and game, not struggling throu...

Re: The Board Game Project for Maptool
And don't let the insanity of the lobby and setting up a game discourage you. Really, you can ignore it once you figure it out and get right to the games. Pandemic is on there, too.

Re: [Gamma World] Framework Adaptation
We played and had a ton of fun. Good times! Overall, this performed very well. One of the players was new to your frameworks, the others play in my 4E game with your 4E-heavy framework. They enjoyed it... there'a few calcs I want to check on (I noticed at one point a critical didn't add anything but...

Re: [Gamma World] Framework Adaptation
Looks pretty awesome! I'm setting up for a game and a few questions / bugs In the Edit Character the Physical and Poison aren't in the same order on the Resist tab as they are on the Vulnerability tab. I think it works just fine, but might cause some confusion. It'd be nice if there was the ability ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion
As I'm trying to edit dozens of macros for all my players' powers, it occurs to me that I'm reinventing the wheel. Is there a library somewhere of macros parsed and edited for Rumble's framework (which is, by the way, amazingly awesome)? Or could we make one? I'd be happy to contribute the ones I'v...

Re: Wizards VTT (re)announced
I don't think the mini decision necessarily means big trouble. The overhead vs. the sales just seems like a pain... I don't know why they didn't get out a bit earlier, really, considering other companies seem to be able to do it pretty well and they were struggling to find a business model to work. ...

Re: Rumble's 4E Framework, Version 5 - Discussion
Rumble - been a good month and a half since I've played but we are resuming. I was in the middle of an adventure, and am not sure I have the latest version of your framework - though an update should be pretty quick. Eager to get back to it :) Curious if anyone has any suggestions or ran into any is...

Re: Generic Card Game Framework -Version 1b
Digging this! It's perfect for anything you have a set of card images for... a few things: I did not see a Pile Macro anywhere. Any way to automatically set the cards to top-down instead of square? With a large 60+ deck it seemed kind of tedious, I don't know if there's a macro function to do so. Wh...

Just saw that, seems fairly recent... but seems like with some tweaking it could be used fairly simply. Just need images of all the cards.

Re: [Request] GUMSHOE
Tried to DL your FW but dropbox game me an error. Hope to check it out, I bought Mutant City Blues and will be interested in checking it out. Two things I thought of when it comes to these types of games is the need for notes and potentially handouts. I know we don't necessarily have to have framewo...
