Re: VBL via Macro Function

I believe the patch that got implemented wasn't the latest version (think I saw that in another thread).

Re: Attention: Windows Users using JAVA 7 with MapTool

Started a new contract this week so I don't have a lot of time, but I took a quick look and did an update. This should merge Jamz's intent, if not the same code. I also added Azhrei's file encoding update to the command line call, but I'm not sure where to check to make sure it's working. The only t...

Re: MapTool: Refined

I've seen so many projects fizzle out trying to reach a golden ideal that I'm actually on the other end of the spectrum. Yeah, there's a lot wonky, but I'm fine with fixing and upgrading the current version. It does work, after all. That said, a timeline is the important part of what I'd be interest...

Re: MapTool: Refined

I like MapTool a lot and I think that a full time development effort would be worth paying for. I mean, worst case scenario, you start a Kickstarter and don't reach funding and then you know there's not enough in it. I didn't fund Roll20, but that's because it was closed source and I didn't have an ...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (March 31, 2

When I'm back at the computer I'll run in debug and see what's happening. I was more talking about maybe doing a try/catch for the launch so that the user gets some kind of feedback when it doesn't "happen." Shouldn't be a write issue, permissions in the set directory are good and I forced...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (March 31, 2

My point with the user friendly portion of it was because I was thinking that anyone with knowledge sufficient to handle elevation, path selection, etc, wouldn't really need the launcher. I just use a batch file to handle everything I need and it doesn't require elevation to run Maptool, so the laun...

Re: MapTool Launcher for Linux, Windows, & OS X (March 31, 2

Couple of notes: 1.) When you haven't yet selected a Maptool Jar file, is it possible to have file selection default to the directory that the launcher was run from? Currently looks like it defaults to the home/user folder. 2.) On Windows 8, .jar files aren't automatically registered as executable s...

Re: Bard's Guild (contains recommended logos!)

Because the current media of most of the graphics is web, the no adaptations clause of the NoDerivs license would also mean you can't do something like resize the image for your website. You could resize it for print media without violating the license. Just a note to be aware of and if you want to ...

Re: Attention: Windows Users using JAVA 7 with MapTool

If you set the path in the first part, it will use the path that you pick as long as the java version you want matches (so set path & java version and it'll work the way you describe).

Re: The Ideal VTT

I believe cookednoodle's ideal VTT (and he/she can correct me if I'm wrong) is one that has an API that allows plugins and extensions. While you can absolutely say that "this craps out if the Skype API changes and it causes problems" that could also be said for ANYTHING related to the code...

Re: Should I use Maptools for my Online Game

I'm not an expert but my old company's site was done entirely in WordPress and I have some customization experience with it. I'll shoot him a PM and see if there's something I can help with.
