Re: The Breaking of Forstor Nagar: Maptool Project

I'm talking about the width of the button itself, Az, not the text. 100 to 125 is a good width for most powers and abilities.

Re: Optimizing the grid-less map.

Every map requires fog, unless you're playing omniscient characters that can see through walls and around corners. =)

Re: The Breaking of Forstor Nagar: Maptool Project

I suggest making each button in the macro windows the same width. It helps tremendously in making the window look ordered and easier to find what you're looking for.

I try to run my monsters as realistic as possible; in other words, they are not just sitting in a dungeon for 100 years, waiting to be attacked by heroes.

Unless of course they're skeletons and other mindless undead.

Encounter Design 101

An interesting take on designing encounters and making the NPC response to PC incursion a little more realistic.

Nope, 1.3 can't be stable until 1.3b65.

Re: MT 1.3b60 Progress

Don't include .rptoks in the zip file you upload. Then the players can't see them. Dropping a token on the map is a very quick download for the players, unless you're using huge images resized down.

For dungeons, just use tilesets except for really good set pieces, which are usually small anyway.

Re: User Defined Functions versus Macro calls

The space wasted is the construction of the json object to pass to the macro. I was creating some 4e automation scrips at one point before life turned me upside down and was wasting well over 15 to 20 lines per macro in a multi-macro setup to construct and deconstruct json objects. It was must easie...
