Re: User Defined Functions versus Macro calls

I prefer UDF's. You can make it so the variable scope in the UDF is the same as the calling macro, making it a breeze for "passing" variables. You don't have to waste tons of space constructing a json object, passing it to the [macro:], deconstructing it in the macro, and then reconstructi...

Re: MapTool Gadget for Google Wave

I would like to see MapTool migrate towards an OpenRPG server based setup at some point, so you can have multiple games going on the same server. And if possible, tie in all the servers to a central chat server so the community isn't fragmented.

Re: Seamless Tiles

Try making the stones a little bigger in that last wall. That would be a lot of work to build a wall that way, unless they built the flat wall and then backfilled behind the wall I guess.

Re: Seamless Tiles

That's pretty cool. Makes me want to re-do the wall tiles in my tileset.

I'll find some other place to host this eventually. I just haven't had the time lately.

Re: 4E PHB to be $5 ???

WotC doesn't give a feces about Pathfinder. It's a non-issue. The people buying into Pathfinder are the people that weren't going to buy into 4e anyway.

Re: Roll output expanded when it shouldn't be

This anti-cheat crap is stupid anyway. Player's can't create UDF's. So they're "trusted" to begin with.

Re: MT 1.3b57 Progress - Take2

Start playing with the vision distance and see if there's a cutoff where it isn't borked. The default distance is absolutely monstrous. I don't think I've seen anyone make a map that's even 200 grid wide, let alone a thousand. I've changed mine to 60, personally. I created a dungeon that was 800 x ...

Re: Roll output expanded when it shouldn't be

I've been getting the [ ] on the output in some cases too, but I've switched to using the same variable scope and it solved my problem.

Re: MT 1.3b57 Progress - Take2

The thing that baffles me is that it doesn't make sense to me why it would be a problem. Scale is just that ... scale. It shouldn't necessarily require more work. So I'm not convinced it's the size of it that matters. Can anyone confirm that it goes away for them by reducing the default vision dist...

Re: [1.3.b56] Content.xml and 1.5 million lines of extra(?) code

I've had it happen with the default settings when you first open maptool. Day, no fog, and no lights. Last time it happened, I dragged four tokens two or three squares and it created the corrupted garbage.

Re: How MT should roll dice

As an old-school gamer, I still prefer the rolls to be displayed in the chat window only. (Not against this idea, options are good, yo.) My only concern with this would be that it should allow the GM to lock down who can roll and when, with an easy GUI for doing so. As anyone gaming around a table ...
