I'm not seeing either issue. Perhaps some video or screenshots?

Resolved by itself for me. I installed back 1.5.5 to try to get a screenshot and I could not reproduce ^^ it now seems to work flawlessly! Btw memory consumption is much smaller with this version.

Shouldn't have replied too soon ;)
Managed to reproduce the bug just after launching map tools about 15 seconds, slide the map and opened a menu after that, take a look at the screenshots

That looks like a video driver issue, not a problem with MT. Try turning off all video acceleration options in your video driver and I’ll bet that corrects it. If it does, you just need a video driver update.

It is really strange, when I try to film the sliding view problem (slow and delayed movement), the video recorded just shows a smooth movement. I don't know what is the problem, but it didn't happen with the previous version.

I'll give it a try tomorrow but anyway it's still strange that it never happened with other previous versions of MT...

I have a 120 Hz monitor, maybe this version doesn't work fine with those Hz?

Definitely it is like having a really slow Hz monitor with this version vs the previous version. It runs slower.

Can't reproduce the UI rendering issue on my system.

MT 1.5.5 is using the same Java version as the other 1.5 versions so that seems unlikely.

Then maybe a problem about how RAM or Processor is being used?

I am uploading a video, it is much clearer in person, but I think it will do the work:

This is the video with 1.4.18 version:

And this is with 1.5.5 version:

Ah ha. So this is between 1.4.1.8 and 1.5.5. Now we are talking two different versions of Java and so it is quite possible there are some issues.

If you don't mind, could you try MT 1.5.0 and 1.5.4 and see if they work the same as 1.5.5 for you. You can get them here: https://github.com/RPTools/maptool/releases

Under each release is a drop-down arrow that says "Assets". Click that and download the .exe installer. By choosing a different install directory you can multiple versions of MT installed if you like.

OK I found the culprit for my display bug. I had riva tuner statistic server overlay enabled from one of my previous gaming session (finally was able to reproduce with previous versions and not in opengl mode...). Disabling it solve the problem in direct3d mode!

Yes it is 1.4 in the video, but it happen the same with version 1.5.4. I just didn't find the installer. Thanks for the link, I will create a video with this version, but it will be the same I suppose. The problem is with 1.5.5, not the previous versions.

Here it is, the comparation video between 1.5.4 and 1.5.5. As I said, the difference is really a lot bigger in person

Version 1.5.4 (really smooth movement):

Version 1.5.5 (slow, flashed and delayed):

It's subtle, but I notice the difference. Like having a difference in 30 fps down to 20 fps or something comparable.
