I'm currently using MapTool 1.7.0.
I can somewhat get around this problem by creating light sources to do what I want here. However, having the sight types have different lumens allows tiered sight types. These tiered sight types would allow easy coding for Darkvision, Devil's Sight, and obscuring vision through things like Fog Cloud for each individual player as opposed to the group vision.
The mechanics already seem close to what is available for light sources so I would imagine this could be easy to implement.
Let me know if this already exists and I'm being dumb but I'm pretty sure this is missing.

Good to hear someone else is interested in the same thing. Hopefully they are right in that the parameter for the lumens is easy to parse and add.
