Just as an FYI, the test connection does not work. I am not sure if that is what you are trying. Best thing is to start a game and have someone try to connect.

When do you get that message ? When loading up MT, or when trying to connect to someone elses server ?

nope. i havent changed anything or installed anything.

one thing is that i have a d-link 502t modem with an airlive WL-1500R router. on portforward.com the modem is information for the 502t is wrong, so i have had to set it up myself. as far as i can tell, both are set up to forward port 51234.

Can you open 2 instances of Maptool on the same machine, make one a host, and see if you can connect to it with the other instance? Just a quick test.

(He's actually having network issues, so the Networking FAQ would be a good start.)

You can find the Networking FAQ in the HOWTO subforum.
