Even working with one file at a time, it is troublesome at best copy/pasting back and forth and, at least for me, I often get bit by inadvertently working with the wrong version. Having only one file eliminates that headache.

The large implication is that Copy/paste only works one file at a time. With an external editor, global edit tools become available (find in files, search/replace, regex, etc)

Being able to add and edit [some kind of script] files within MT and externally is a major benefit in my opinion.

I would love to have a file directory of individual javascript snippets that can be loaded easily.
