Scale/Zoom question

Post by hintslara82 »

Hi everyone

Is there a way to set the zoom of a map so the grid is always 1” when compared to the TV it’s shown on?

Thinking of using MT for my games (and dropping FG) but FG has an add on that lets you set your TV size and then zoom the map to so the grid is always 1” x 1”.

you can lock the zoom function for player. But you'll have to manually set it to the right size. Mt cannot 'detect' screen size.

Not "automatically". Keep in mind that there are three things to consider: Size of TV, resolution you're using (720P, 1080p, 4K, etc.), size of the grid you're using in MT on any particular map.

You would only need to manually set the zoom once. Load up MT, load map, then scroll the map in/out to the correct size (usually using the mouse wheel.)

Then you could do one of two things:

1) Go to Tool/Lock Zoom to make sure the zoom level stayed.

and/or

2) Create a macro to re-set to that zoom level with a single click.

The macro code would look like:
[r: setZoom(1)]
That sets to 100% zoom... but you could make it whatever you need it to be with your setup.
