[BATTLETECH] Introductory Box Set: 24X Tokens For Maptool

Post by TheOnlySheet »

I recently purchased the BattleTech Introductory Box Set and created hexagonal Tokens for the 24 mechs included in that set. These tokens can either be used in Maptool OR printed out to denote starting position of specific mechs in the table top game. You can get them here.

I'll probably never play it on MT, but they do look nice. I used to play BattleTech/MechWarrior back in the day. I once played at a CON with 8" figures... that was fun.

For more Mech top-down graphics, ccheck out MegaMech, a sophisticated VTT for BattleTech.

Last time I checked, the elevation "feature" was something like a prototype, as should be apparent ;)

They do look quite nice. Assuming you were going to try playing BT in MT, how would you differentiate facing and torso twist with these?

One possibility would be to make six images for states that can be applied, each one just has an arrow or something pointing to one of the hex sides.

ooo, they have elevation: http://megamek.info/sites/default/files ... c_view.png
Reminds me of my all time favourite mech game (in the older graphic style), Titans of Steel: Warring Suns (Now freeware if anyone wants to pick it up).

hm good point - I had not though about that.
My main use is actually for table top - I can use these tokens to denote the starting positions of mechs...
