is there any way i can try hosting, but let you set up everything (like properties, maps etc etc etc?)... (can you tell i'm overeager to get in on this campaign with you guys? )

did you have to do port forwarding before? i know my isp switches my ip every so often, so for anything that required forwarding, i'd have to set it up with the new ip - could that be it?

Just did a Test Connection, and that seems to be the problem...it can't see my machine from the net. Any idea on how to fix that?

when we get it up my buddy's gonna connect, matuba his username, just to see how everything works hes a d&d virgin

I'm goign to reboot my machine...see if that clears anything, try again at 8:30

if you know your routers ip, enter that into your address bar - there should be a screen that pops up that pops up with multiple tabs and one will be port forwarding - here you can "open" ports and send them to your computer (which is usually your routers address except the last part will be something like say .001 if your router is .000)

before you "open" any ports, see which one maptools uses as a default (i think its 5,000 something) and make that one of the open ones but do it as a range - so instead of just picking 5321, pick 5320 to 5325

before you try any of this though, i'll make a server and see if everyone can join...

are people able to get into the "temp" fake server i made, or same issue?

I was able to connect to "Thiera's Temp" just fine, Doopri.
Not sure if that fixes anything, though, seeing as how Tyg has all the campaign files/etc.

whoops i thought he might be able to load them all through that server (i picked "player" for myself thinking that there was maybe some sort of magic "dm" tab that would let him load files and such)

I have no idea why it's not working today. But if someone starts up a server and can try connecting as DM and loading the campaign...see what happens
