When I selected the zip file the extract all does not become selectable.
Did you change the extension to .zip? The .cmpgn file is a zip file but windows apps use the extension to identify the file type.

When I select 7zip it puts an unzipped folder below the zipped folder with the same name.

Inside are the lib folder and an Internet explorer that says TokenTool

Your zip files are associated with another zip extraction tool (7 Zip).

Try this:
WINDOWS 10 EXTRACT FILES SETUP

- Press the windows button
- type "default programs"
- Click/open the default programs tool
- Select associate a file type or protocol with a program
- Scroll down to .zip and double click the .zip
- Under other options select Windows Explorer.
That should enable extraction through Windows Explorer.

So, not sure what the problem is. You extracted the files.

Delete the zip file and run Token Tool from the new folder you created.

I'm thinking that's the issue. At some point, for Gnu knows what reason, JAR files on his computer are associated with IE. TokenTool should have the little Java coffe cup icon.

He could fix it by associating .jar files with Java.

So, multiple issues at-hand... not just dancing with zip files.

I think reinstalling Java might be the simpler way for a novice to address the issue. I was thinking that might be an issue, too, but was hoping to resolve the zip part of the process first.

1) Uninstall Java.
2) Reboot computer.
3) Go to: https://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the Windows Offline 64 Bit versions of Java.
4) Install it.

Definitely should do that which will most likely fix the association issue.

hello
can someone help me?
when i download TokenTool, there is no JAR file available

inside the zipped folder, i find "lib", "META-INF" and "net" -- none of these folders contain the JAR

did TokenTool get hacked? did they sell out? why can i no longer use this program?

Looks normal to me. The TokenTool .jar is in the zip file, along with a folder with three more .jar files. Are you downloading this from the rptools.net download page?

Not seeing the issue. The jar is there.

That said, you might want to look into the nerps 2.0 version if you can't work it out.

So, if you are just unzipping to use TokenTool 1.x, I DO have a much newer one available at http://tokentool.nerps.net

Just download the setup for Windows (.exe) and run. It'll install it's own Java that is needed and you are good to go. No unzipping needed...
