My Frames and Tokens
I added some frame and tokens for your gaming pleasure!
You can view mine here: http://gallery.rptools.net/main.php?g2_itemId=2070
The Frames and Tokens have been made by me with Photoshop. Much of the artwork you will find here was from Steel Rat's Image Gallery (thanks Steel Rat!): http://www.infinite-realities.com/4images/
I will be adding more in the near future!

Those rings are very nice looking. If you put the color rgb 255, 0, 255 around the outside of the ring, you won't have to manually make the inner image be the right shape
Take a look at Vry's for an example:

heh, no problem, rptools itself is a large iterative experiment
The pink is a specific color, that is, red green blue values of 255, 0, 255 respectively. So, if you create a new color with those values, you'll get the pink color.
Just paint that pink color around the rings, and they'll work perfectly.

255,0,255 = Magenta
We now return you to your normal programming.
There are over 16.5 million colors so theoretically, there are over 16.5 million names for all those colors. Pink and Magenta are 2 names so the odds are, we could both be wrong especially if we also consider the color variances of your flat screen VS. my 3 laser shooting, un-degaused, 100 pound, 1985, 20 inch.... *squint squint*
*Dorpond adjusts the tint on his monitor to make the pink more magenta*
Well to be a bit anal about it while it is true that the color you and I see on different display devices may be different magenta itself is pretty well defined in printing, dyeing, video and computers.
You've probably seen CMYK mentioned in relation to printing processes. The M is for magenta and it means something very specific. The Java language that the various RPTools are written in also defines magenta as 255,0,255. And FWIW in video, it is the fifth vertical bar on the SMPTE color bars.
Now everyone has heard more about the color magenta then they ever wanted to know.
Edit: 255,255,255 is now 255,0,255

I might be having the problem you specify here - I have a small magenta ring around the outside when using Token Tool (thought I would revamp the default token for you guys)Vry wrote:And remember it needs to be that exact color, not shades of it. So it's usually best to use the pencil tool instead of the brush tool in photoshop. Otherwise you'll get little semi-pink bits bleeding through on the edges.
I just used a paint bucket to fill the outside of my ring.
Could this be caused by my Beveled Edges?
Let me know what I can do (I am getting closer though)
Thanks!

It's the antialiasing on the outside edges of the ring that is causing the problem. It makes the color not quite exactly 255, 0, 255.
Perhaps I could put in a Fudge Factor that would grab anything around 250, 0, 250 to 255, 0, 255. Might make that kind of thing a little more flexible.
