[Drop-in] Jamz & W42 - Dungeon Builder 2 (v1.5)

These are tools and utilities that make it easier to run games. This includes Lib: macro tokens dropped into MapTool to manage the game, a conversion file for CharacterTool to allow use in MapTool, or just about anything else you can think of -- except graphics with macros and anything specific to a particular campaign framework. Those are already covered by the Tilesets subforum and the Links and External Resources forum.

New version 1.2 is out. LOTS of new tiles and all three sets of VBL are now applied. Also a couple of debugs, renames, rebuild libraries.

Woot! Thanks for driving it home and over the finish line!

You guys really should check it out, it is fun generating random Dungeons so quick. And the tile set is so nice. And you get such detailed vbl, it really is ready to go!

We use it for our Arena of Death battles. :)

I have pcs with both j6 and j7 and mt and the DB works with both. Stack overflow leads me to believe though that you're starting up MT in a wrong way. Mayheb debug might shed some light on this.

btw, there is a test version of mt b90 out (announced by Azhrei), it should work with db2, so you can try that as well (note that I haven't tried this yet).

Part of that is Virtual Machine drivers, shouldn't have any issue with it.

What I am doing is making the config file and launching the program by clicking on the actual maptool-1.3.b89p_Nerps java execution file.

If you are just double clicking on the JAR, it's going to launch with default memory settings. As wolf said, probably small stack size.

Use one of the supplied launch bat files in the zip after setting your config. Probably a stack size of 3-5k is needed, haven't tested the min required.

That's a j7 bug. They stripped the option to use * in java commands. So edit the bat such that the name is spelled out completely. Or use the new launcher (somewhere on this forum)

Ya, don't use the launcher (i should remove it from my build), there should be a Launch_Maptool.bat file to use.

Took some work but got it working. I actually had to change a line in the batch file to

Code: Select all

SET MAPTOOL_JAVA_PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6
to get it to work with 64 bit windows since it installs different place than 32 bit. Will probably do a routine in the batch file later to detect which version you have because I use it on 32 bit and 64 bit machines.
