I am at work at the moment so I can't test it, but I believe the player editable flag is ignored on campaign macros isn't it?
If so then the results are what I would expect.
The rules are
Anything the GM types into the input box is trusted.
Anything a non GM types into the input box is not trusted.
Any auto execute macro that is non player editable is trusted.
Any auto execute macro that is player editable is not trusted.
Any non auto execute macro gets copied into the input box to be edited, so results in one of the first two rules
In another 2 months I will be answering this question again
In the meantime I'm going to move this thread to the WIP-UserFAQ subforum as it does seem to come up periodically. And when CiF has it on the wiki, I'll come back and add a link, trim out the unneeded posts, and lock the thread.
Okay, I'm confused. I only see the "box" character for the check mark in the browser (both chrome and ie8), but maptool does show the check when I use the unicode there.
Apparently I need to update some of my basic fonts. Windows Vista and newer versions which include IPA symbols with Arial, Courier New, Lucida, Tahoma and Times New Roman. I'll see if I can upgrade those fonts.

There is a bunch of MS products that have the font, but I recently did a reinstall and currently didn't have it. After I downloaded arialuni.ttf, I could then see the check marks. But it doesn't come standard with XP.
