The Breaking of Forstor Nagar
City of Grinding Ice

This is a patronage project for Pathfinder, which means that you can be involved from the start. You can help to define the structure of the adventure and have daily input into the construction and design. I'll be doing the maps and leading the maptool campaign file construction, Devin is doing the tokens. We've got great people involved for design, art and editing. The adventure will be in the form of a pdf as well as a maptool campaign file with macros and fully interactive objects.

Designer: Ben McFarland (ENnie award winning designer, Tales of Zobeck)
Cartography: Jonathan Roberts (Kobold Quarterly: Maps of Mystery Bandit Lair, The Sand Dragon Inn)
Token Artist: James Hazelett (Devin Knight's Gaming Tokens)
Editor: Mark Moreland (Pathfinder Wiki)

Find out more at The Breaking of Forstor Nagar and get involved. It will be great to have you on board.

Way cool!

I will post in the Rite Publishing forum as well, but I just wanted to state that the Pathfinder framework I have is totally available for use.

We'll certainly be checking that out lmarkus!

@trevor: certainly very interested to see how this works out.

As a little taster I thought I'd just drop this in to whet people's appetite:

... and for those of you who would like to use that rather natty pinnace in your games, I'll even drop it in as a freebie!

Now there will be a lot more of these type of objects in the full blown adventure available to patrons (and you get to pick what I draw up!) Tokens of course are by Devin.

You should see the full-blown three masted warship that's coming... but you might have to sign up for that :)

I'm really pleased you like it. I've been wanting to run some sea battles in maptool for a while and I always wondered how to do the sails. Now I think I've nailed it and I plan to do more in the same style (my own players are currently traveling the high seas so I'll be taking them to Forstor Nagar too).

wow, looks nice T.
I'm tempted to sign up, but I'm not sure if I have the time to get enough out of it for what I pay... and I've not touched PF as of yet xD

I'm glad to hear that I've piqued your interest. It's certainly true that you'll get the most out of this if you have time to get involved, but I'd say that even if you only have time to check the Forstor Nagar forums a couple of times a week you'll get good value for money. As for the Pathfinder side, Pathfinder and 3.5 are pretty similar. If you play one then it's very easy to pick up the other.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I'm also doing a Q&A about the project on the Rite Publishing site. You can read the first part here:

Second part of the Q&A is here.

Now here's a larger (and slightly different) version of the screenshot in that Q&A. You can click the image for a larger view.

I think the players need a bigger boat...

Ships, icebergs and (movable) ballistae by me, background is maptool default ocean and the tokens are by the ever talented Devin Night.

Thanks for signing up. I've emailed you directly.

For others who are interested, the third part of the Q&A about the project is up here:

The Breaking of Forstor Nagar Q&A Part 3

The full blown development will begin once we hit goal. We have 29 days left in which to do this. Once that happens the forums on the Rite Publishing site will go up and the detailed work will begin in earnest.

Before that happens, patrons can still have an input into the project through email, can determine the questions that get answered in Q&A sessions, and will get special treats (Malekith will very shortly be the recipient of a 4800px long pirate ship png!).

Here's another screenshot from our development. This will be used to show people who are unfamiliar with maptool what it can do with light sources and different vision types. The tokens are Devin Night's. The torch is mine, as is the map.
