Guillermo Del Toro to direct Lovecraftian Movie (DIT)

I have not actually read ATMOM, but I have to say this seems like the kind of horror flick I could actually enjoy. Saw & its ilk hold no interest for me.

Is anyone else excited about this?

I recently saw a movie on tv with lovecraftian themes. Some of the acting was horrific but the story kept me watching it until the very end. I just googled what I could remember and it's the 2009 movie "The Dunwich Horror".

I really think this has a lot of potential. Just hope they handle the source material with the proper amount of respect.

*Cameron's angry voice in the back*: what do you mean I can't let Cthulu attack the Titanic...

Love Cuthy and elements of that genre almost always creep into my settings. Some of the movies are horrible but I will almost always watch them. One of my favorite movies in the genre (sort of) is Cast a Deadly Spell. Although not really part of the Lovecraftian universe it has many references to it.

That said, I can't wait for Del Toro's interpretation of C'thie land.
