Personally, I would like to see phase 3 reached. Perhaps once it's done and out there you can run another kickstarter to get the extra funds for the GUI and debugging environment upgrade.

I was really hoping that it would work.

@A.M. We are hoping for the same. We've amended the release schedules to earlier dates, and tightened the scope of upcoming releases of new content, so that people can start using the application, and help us drive another campaign. We'd rather open the source once Mote is mature, and the code base has settled down enough for 3rd parties to comfortably extend it moving forward.

@jckrbbt, wolph & Bhoritz thanks guys :) We'll have more updates as we go, that's a promise.

Congrats are in order here!

I'm really looking forward to see Maptool/Mote grow again, and not have to worry about French accents in my FWs anymore ;)

@Jagged, Oschiefloyd, and booga: thanks guys, I know you all went above and beyond for this; expect the same effort on our end!

We'd like to ask users who have had issues with Unicode to share relevant parts of their work for testing the fix we made in Mote. There are many use cases, and we're certain that there will be side-effects with frameworks that use significant amount of escapes in order to get their macros through the parser. While there will be growing pains at the start, the end we have in mind is that everyone should use their language's natural character sets when writing macros, without the need to escape or substitute characters just to make things work :)

Congrats Lee!

Re use cases, the one that bit me was comma used as a decimal indicator vs a period. Netherlands IIRC.
