Ok, I know there are quite a few graphic gurus here, so I'm hoping to get a little help with something.
I was wondering if someone could give me the steps on how to create a .png or .eps image without a background. I use Corel Draw, but I also have Gimp too (although I haven't played with it much).
Every time I try to save an image that I've cut out from a pic, it still has a background. Can anyone help me?

Re: Graphics Question
Gimp should be able to do it. If it's at all similar to Photoshop Elements, you should be able to select the background (maybe with some kind of "magic wand" tool), and delete it. You might also need to set an option when saving it to preserve the background.
You might take a look at https://logosbynick.com/gimp-delete-bac ... ansparent/ for instructions.

Re: Graphics Question
I would suggest GIMP (personal preference), between that and blend, what else could you need....
However if this is just a one off sort of thing you may want to try something like this:

One of the options is to make the background transparent (it worked well for me when I used it).
Most often when I hear what you've described it is because the image has no alpha channel (as gimp would call it). Select what you want, copy it, paste as a new image, is something I would try.
