Request: Mounted Samurai/Bushi - top down
Hi
I'm in the "market" for some top-down mounted samurai/bushi. Any suggestions? Needed for a game friday ... late thursday for most across the pond ... so links are probably most realistic

No, I'm afraid not ... but then again I'm not too picky Any oriental-like mounted figure will basically do. But! Since you do ask, I can at leaast make this effort:
If I google for "samurai" and the choose pictures, there are several on the first page that show figures that are the inspiration for this - especially the "samurai brandishing sword - that armour is not too elaborate and would fit nicely if you stuck that character on a horse ... ah, here he is.
If possible, the token should be using a Yari (spear), but swords are fine. Really super-duper would be two variants, one Yari, one Katana/Nodachi-style, but now I know I'm stretching it

I can't see the image, might be blocked by the firewall here at work.
I've got plenty of samurai/ashigaru weapons, so the variants shouldn't be a problem. I've got the full Samurai armor as well, so I'll play around with it and see if i can come up with something you can use. Won't be till this evening (it's 6:46 am my time right now).

These aren't mounted, but are you aware of this token pack?wrathchild wrote:I'm in the "market" for some top-down mounted samurai/bushi. Any suggestions? Needed for a game friday ... late thursday for most across the pond ... so links are probably most realistic

It might be useful for your game.
Third row down, second from the right. I commissioned that figure from Devin a long time ago. He had mentioned that it was going to get added to a pack he was working on, but I never went back to check.
That was a character that I was playing on Helm's Deep in one of the Sengoku playtests they were running. It was a great adventure except that one of the players was... "not really on the same page" as the rest of us.
