If you feel confident enough to use the Maptool launcher to run a non-standard jar file, please download the linked jar and play.
However do not use this version to save any campaigns, as you may not be compatible with the final release.

So what new functionality does this release contain? Glad you asked ...
Square Line Types
Some changes have been made to the Colour Picker, so that as well as the default round-ended line, you can now choose square cornered and square ended. Which you may find more suitable for walls and similar map elements. Named Drawing Elements
If you right-click an element in the Draw Explorer, you now have the ability to name that element. You may well be wondering what use is that? But it helps you navigate through your map elements plus it opens up the option for a host of new MT Script functions for drawings. New Drawing Functions
Going hand-in-hand with the ability to name drawing elements, there are a number of new script functions that give you access to drawings in a way that was previously only possible for images. These new functions can be found in our wiki. See New Drawing Functions.

If you draw your dungeon rooms directly in Maptool, you can now build the Vision Blocker Layer in a couple of simple clicks.
Draw your rooms using a suitable colour or texture: You now want to add the vision blocking layer. So cover the entire map with a solid vision blocking rectangle: Now you simply open the Draw Explorer by clicking Window > Draw Explorer.
Then select all of the rooms, right click and select Shape to VBL > Remove from VBL Your vision layer is complete. Job done! So please play, and let us know how you get on.
